Why? Communist countries have, in general, been very keen on promoting sports.

First "Athlete" has put in a claim for asylum already..

An Olympic competitor has claimed political asylum in Britain, the Mail can reveal.

The man, believed to be a middle distance runner in his mid 20s from Africa, was being held by the UK Borders Agency last night after walking into a police station in Leeds and asking for asylum.

    I fucking love Boris Johnson.

I feel that I probably wouldn't love him if I actually lived in London but fuck London. Him and the Imperial war museum are the only good things about the stinking place.

Notice the new short back and sides haircut instead of the usual "Haystack"? wouldn't be surprised if Dave recieved a leadership challenge soon

realistically not until his current mayoral term ends, he would need to be elected to the commons again.

Dave's fucked anyway the way things are going. His backbenchers don't like him, his chancellor, who he has seriously tied himself to, is on a one-way track to being pretty much the undisputed champion of the title of worst fucking chancellor ever and they're going to fail to win an outright majority pretty much whatever happens between now and 2015 (especially if the LDs block the boundary changes, which they probably will).

    He simply cannot survive that.

That said, can't see boris seriously going for the leadership. The tory party isn't that stupid. He might've been able to hoodwink londoners with his loveable buffoon act, but for everyone else, it's something we only enjoy in moderation and from a safe distance. The bigger that distance the better, frankly. Potential PM? Fuck off.

As Mayor of London it's perfectly acceptable, indeed it's pretty much part of the job description to be an eccentric loon. 90% of your job is just extoling the virtues of central london to rich cunts. Could you see him as a lord in a senior ministerial role? Or as PM? Really?

Maybe? pretty sure he is being lined up though? Osborne has shot his bolt, Tory party membership has reputedly dropped by around 60%? and they have growing numbers of members both old and the youth leaving to go to UKIP along with growing numbers of councillors jumping to UKIP so i will be surprised if they go into the next election with Cameron as leader.

A lot of things can happen yet, and lets not forget that Millibands personal rating are worse than Michael Foots.. The only reason they are doing anywhere near half decent in the polls is because Dave is so shite..
