Spot prizes are a mix of random and "someone did something I remember the next day" type stuff
Anyway, I couldnt keep a stable connection lastnight so was unable to go on ganked 30 which was being FC'd by Green Gambit.
It was a glorious success:
http://rvbganked.co.uk/kills/?a=cc_d...=40&view=kills
Green led the 160+ pilots to fun times and even got the miserable abject failure that is the SoCo to undock and shoot something. The night is the highest kill total night since we started running them over in RvB.
Hopefully some vidya shows up too.
I had my own fun I found I can remotely kick people from mumble so played Mumble Roulette during their roam.

So the kitchen sink themed fleet rolled out last night (I'm talking Navy BSs & Rattlesnakes, shitty faction cruisers, and almost everything else), along with Exhale. having discussed bringing 50-100 of their own with commandships, logis, etc after being reminded that this was an RvB Ganked roam with an especially bad comp theme. Fleet peaked at ~185 which is perhaps 50% more than usual, and come 20:00 Green Gambit rolled us out from Rens (Mang being backseat FC this time anyway, but also unable to get a decent enough setup to run an Eve client, yet still able to play russian roulette with his Mumble server thanks to some remote iphone app).
Things got going quite promptly as the guys didn't even get out of lowsec before running into a brave ~60man flashy BC gang which was apparently an epic slaughter as mixed weapon and tanks tore through their setup.
A personal Fuck you to the united camping the Rancer shortcut to Rens when I needed to travel through it to participate in this brawl, but then leaving it clear soon after when it was too late.
Somewhat stunned at the night already being a success rather than a hotdrop welp trap, and with minimal need for people to reship, we pressed into null (Catch, I believe) and started the usual rolling blob, raping or failing to tackle anything that came via our gates while scouts tried to find something juicy. One particularly slippery customer was a nicely pimped buffer 100mn AB tengu from iirc a gang with a Talos, Curse (and possibly other Tengu if it wasn't just a leapfrogging links ships). The remaining Tengu tried to flee and was pulling a steady 3km/s while we struggled to find someone with a faster prop mod combined with a web to actually stop him. Eventually his several 100km hero burn for freedom was halted, and it turns out he was in an LG Nomad pod worth more than his ship. Snakes might have been the better choice in the end, 'need Mo3r' indeed. Still 150+ strong, fleet was now eager for another proper fight.
Not 10minutes later and we found ourselves being maneuvered around by hostile scouts with somewhat odd things like a Chimera appearing on dscan in a stationless system. A heretic and then Devoter land on and jump through us, we pursue and a cyno goes up. AAA bridge in ~80people at least, guardians and mostly Amarr BSs. There was initial paranoia that it was a 'pipebomb' smarty setup and some may have jumped back out to start with, yet we outnumber them and soon get to work, more epic pewpew ensues as we're downing plenty of guardians & recons with our lol setup while a second cyno brings in a triage thanny. With that and them somewhat bait-tanking our dps vs a navy geddon + arazu, the final survivors & pods bail though there's talk on comms of people trying to get a cyno for srs bsns people to hit back at that AAA setup (especially after looking at the guardian fits). We benny-hill back to highsec and plan to reform in Rens to go out again. Also terrible suggestions of a hotdrop/cap ships night.
After a fairly long break due to the distance the survivers found themselves having to cross, combined with most people having blown their load on relatively shiny ships for a change and getting 2 good fights, the remaining fleet was ~70people and we set off once more, this time for Provi. I notice a few more FHCers on comms, Lorkin and Entrox drunk while scouting & combat-probing down various shiny things as we near-miss Orcas, Hulks, a fucking providence seen warping from a gate, and rorqual sighted yet again towards a customs office. We did catch some, as well as idiots still ratting anoms or sitting doing PI, and much entertainment was had by those tackling & ganking the caught stuff just before most of the fleet could land/lock them as they were kept doubling back on themselves with each piece of intel around some isolated loop of systems. 'Tis fun to claim to be a scout on these nights
Also iirc Hoarr took over FCing for a little bit due to how we were scattered about & chasing tier3 BCs, which kept things fresh.
CVA and friends once again tried bombing runs, especially entertaining as bomb waves don't work atm, and the fleet passed by R3/Misaba about 1:45am BST. Myself and a fair number of others left them at this point, it seems Green led the final lot to see if there was anything new in HED-GP compared to earlier when it was quiet, and the campaign ended just shy of 14bil isk destroyed. Geddonz and other were frapsing, so expect that in the coming days, with the earlier 2 big fights probably providing quality entertainment from fleet SeBo-all-the-things and their ungrouped weapons of mass whorage![]()

U killed me on that too iirc. I was sec tatting in prove and went tom catch after in my enyo. I raped, a corm, warped off. Went back in for a try at ur gate camp, but u had bubbled up on the meantime, landing me right on to of u. I tried to burn for the gate, but died.
Was fun either way, nice job on the bubble and getting tackle on me(I died at 3200m from the gate)

Last night, Sunday 15th July, saw the Thukk You, Frill Me protest event happen, which handily provided me with a theme for a Ganked roam that I did not have to think up myself!
We gathered a very large fleet consisting mostly of Stabber hulls (Stabber, Stabber Fleet Issue & Vagabond), in fact at our peak we had 190 pilots flying with us, one of the largest Ganked fleets to date.
At the kick off time we moved into Jita, managing to cap out the system and lock around half the fleet out at the same time too, however eventually everyone got in – at the expense of some angry haulers no doubt – and we congregated around the monument a ways off Jita 4-4, were at an appointed time we were to explode a vagabond as part of the Thukk You, Frill Me event. While waiting to do that we bumped haulers off the 4-4 undock, kept shooting a flashy typhoon – eventually killing its pilot in a reaper – and then just as we killed Lord Director Combat Mink in the symbolic vagabond hull to represent our disdain for the removal of the vagabond’s frill, we had a visit from a smart-bomb fit battleship. These people never learn do they.
Following the protest in Jita the fleet numbers swelled to over 180 pilots, including such luminaries as Rixx Javix & Sindel Pellion and we moved onwards towards Great Wildlands. The journey down was very uneventful except for a couple of kills in the N-RAEL area, including this Rattlesnake kill. As an aside turns out the Rattler pilot was moving it to Empire for one reason:
[ 2012.07.15 23:30:19 ] Mr Ranger > as epic as it is the rattlesnake kill is ironic
[ 2012.07.15 23:31:22 ] Mr Ranger > it was the last thing i had in null sec, i was bringing it to high so i could leave my corp and join RvB
[ 2012.07.15 23:31:32 ] Mr Ranger > and i get killed by a fleet that is part RvB

[ 2012.07.15 23:32:44 ] Tjo Sephagen > You are winning at EvE already. Welcome to RvB
[ 2012.07.15 23:32:45 ] Ranek Auscent > hahaha
[ 2012.07.15 23:32:48 ] Mr Ranger > the last of about 40 jumps and i hit a 180 man fleet
[ 2012.07.15 23:32:57 ] Mr Ranger > was just like fuck it o well
[ 2012.07.15 23:32:58 ] Y’talana Ktra’a > Thats the best way to join RvB, Mr. Ranger
[ 2012.07.15 23:33:05 ] Green Gambit > sorry
[ 2012.07.15 23:33:05 ] Y’talana Ktra’a > *hugs*
[ 2012.07.15 23:33:17 ] Green Gambit > and we only found you cos I was in the wrong place
[ 2012.07.15 23:33:25 ] Mr Ranger > lol
Eventually, after some fun with Autopilot routing some of us one way through Great Wildlands, and some of us another way, we ended up in M-MD3B. A few of our fleet took the opportunity to shoot at the Thukker HQ there, while the rest of us took a small break, before we moved the roam onwards looking for a huge fire to die to. And that took ages, obviously 150+ in fleet at that stage is scary, even when its 150 drunks in Stabber hulls with me leading them. We bounced through Curse, with only a few losses – mostly lemmings and one drunken Seismic Stan – and only a couple of kills around Doril while I was flouncing off due to other issues!
Then I heard of a potential large group of dudes in GE- in Catch, and away we went. We got there, got wind of an -A- gang sitting on the in gate in Rokhs and support ships, ended up jumping after they had warped. Turned out they warped to reship into Armageddons and Onerios and Lokis and such things. Our Glorious Fleet of No Frills then jumped out and waited for them to follow, which they did. And then we died, as -A- need such a morale booster that they cannot even fight a fun fleet in a fun way, they have to pretty much decimate it; I suppose when you normally cannot find the undock button, have worse FC’s than me and are not the powerhouse you used to be, you take anything you can. However we did give them a bloody nose on our way down.
And that boys & girls is the story of Ganked 31: No Frills.

Meetup: Reisen / Akora
Comms: Mumble
Ingame Channel: RvB Ganked
Guys, Sunday is also the Finals day for the 10th Alliance Tournament, and in the name of all that is bacon, RvB WILL be through to the matches that day, so there may be a possibility that I have to leave you for a short while - assuming the team needs someone as awful as me - however we have enough gobby knowitalls fly with us that you will be left in good hands where possible, or told to dock up for an hour etc
Either way, I hope to get at least one good whelp in before the Finals day starts!
Somer.Blink will as ever be sponsoring prizes once again. I'll announce the prizes closer to the day along with how people will be able to win them!
