Let me tell you what we all got from that war:
    New flags
    Some people got very rich

    What we lost:
40+ years of peace and progress
    Tens of thousands of killed
    Hundreds of thousands who emigrated
Billions and billions in damage, destroyed towns, villages
Untold amounts of money lost due to economy failing completely

You fucking cretin. If I ever have the mispleasure of meeting you I'll fucking deck your stupid teeth out.

Did your passports change colour though? I don't think you understand what is at stake here.

I wonder if Meester can manage to post anything more stupid. The anticipation is killing me.

Ohh, and OBR to publish economic forecasts anyway, even without the budget going through. So that "voters can better understand 'fiscal policy options'".

This is going to be interesting. I doubt Boris/The Saj will be happy about this ...

Bercow says it's a matter of the candidates, but he's willing if they are!

Heidi Allen, ex-Tory, current Lib Dem, current MP for South Cambridgeshire, to stand down at next election, blaiming 'nastiness and intimidation' for her decision.

Makes for a really nice big Lib Dem hole there in the fenlands ...

    Aaaaand Johnson's lost a vote.

He wanted to not allow amendments to the bill for an election. The Commons disagrees with him.

Labour's now going to table an amendment to allow EU citizens to vote. The Tories have said that if that passes, they'll pull the bill.

It's an ultra-safe Tory seat (and the Lie Dems came third last time). She's standing down because she knows she'll lose.

Ofcourse she'll lose, but what used to be ultra-safe Tory seats no longer are, with Brexit and Boris running the show ... I for one, know a couple of people in that constituency who, I suspect, voted Tory before, but now won't because of that ...

16k majority with 51.8% of the vote. Even if that drops to 45%, it will still be as safe as houses.

yes, albeit it depends on election type here.
    Viking, n.:
    1. Daring Scandinavian seafarers, explorers, adventurers, entrepreneurs world-famous for their aggressive, nautical import business, highly leveraged takeovers and blue eyes.
    2. Bloodthirsty sea pirates who ravaged northern Europe beginning in the 9th century.

Hagar's note: The first definition is much preferred; the second is used only by malcontents, the envious, and disgruntled owners of waterfront property.

EU citizens are allowed to vote in Communal and "state" elections but not in national elections (for that you need to be a citizen, dual citizenship is allowed).
Most decisions that effect "day to day" life is taken on Communal level.

Half the rebel tories are tories again, and the Labour NEC has abandoned the trigger ballot process because apparently Party Democracy isn't that important.
