Right, nobody is saying we are.
    Neither is the Netherlands...
Shows what you know about the netherlands were basically the best country on earth.
While we are indeed objectively a happier country to live in than the UK you shouldn't discount the fact that we are also quite "good" at money laundering
shit plugs and shit hills though
Ill have you know we are not good but actually great at money laundering, our plugs are amazing because apparently we are the only EU country that actually bothered replacing our old trash and yeah our hills are shit but hills are dumb anyway so get fucked.

Post-Brexit taxes for steel 'very damaging', says Kinnock
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-55845067

"The steel industry is going to be subjected to 25% tariffs on every tonne of steel that we export to the European Union above a certain quota. What's even worse is steel going from Great Britain to Northern Ireland will be included in the calculation of that quota, so we really have got a very troubling situation that could have a very damaging impact on our steel industry. We need the government to get back to the negotiating table with the European Union." [...] There are now separate quotas for UK steel trading with the EU for 29 different steel products. UK Steel, which represents manufacturers, said some of those quotas were likely to run out in the first quarter of this year. "The official expiry date of the EU safeguard measure [quotas] is June 2021, but it is looking increasingly likely that they will be extended beyond this period - perhaps for another three years," a spokeswoman said. "If the UK can't get an exemption, or its quotas expanded, it will cause huge problems for the UK steel sector."

Weak dutchies are defeated by the slightest incline.
Look, the wages you withheld from the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves for slaughter.

From line one of the report you linked but didn't read

"This is the eighth World Happiness Report. Its central purpose remains as it was for the first Report, to review the science of measuring and understanding subjective well-being"

Sorry to say, you are objectively wrong here. Again....

IIRC it would need to increase trade by a hilariously unrealistic amount to compensate for the damage from Brexit.

ITT Duckslayer doesn't understand how you can objectively measure subjective things.

Personally i wonder how long it is gonna take for the EU to declare UK a tax haven and see the debacle that sparks (also double standards with Netherlands and Ireland cruising on).

Warm enough for Scotland to want to leave the United Kingdom for it.

Aren't Belgians and the Dutch basically the same thing though?

That's as bad as calling Belgium/Wallonia le petit France.

My usually very cheery Belgian flatmate was not amused (he's French speaking).
