How do you like your parliamentary democracy now, Meester?

Apparently Johnson would rather be dead in a ditch than see Brexit cancelled

Not too difficult to translate that one

Maybe the people who are paying for this will put him in the ditch if Brexit is delayed...

He might be doing that rather than extend article 50 (which is what he said), but he didn't promise to kill himself and die in a ditch. So he'll still extend article 50 if he really, really has to, and it will keep him ensconced in nr. 10.

Anyway, he's betting on the UK Brexit voter having the memory span of a goldfish. And, frankly, it's a safe bet.

This speech was intended for the Meesters out there anyway ... he doesn't care if it looks like a total train wreck to everyone else (and dear Ford, it was!).

    Burnt.

Still democracy does not stop and start with Parliament.

He doesn't have to. Bill or no Bill.

He is meeting the Queen on Friday, so I guess he will go there to ask her to not give Royal Assent.

    Jo Johnson, that is.

Seems Boris can't even hold his family together.

Sorry to rub it in, but in UK, it does. It is the elected parliament that is the representative of the people, and nothing else. The UK doesn't have a presidency, however much World King Boris likes to differ.

The only thing that got burnt these past couple of days is de Pfeffel and his Brexit. To a crisp no less. Through parliament; democracy, in all it's glory, has reasserted it's power.

Well, if, or rather, when it becomes a Bill, probably on Monday, it's the law of the land. And even de Pfeffel has to abide to the law. Otherwise it might be him who'll be excorted out of Nr. 10 under armed guard.

Hate to break it to you, but the UK is still, barely perhaps, a nations of laws. Those who break them are criminals.

He is meeting the Queen on Friday, so I guess he will go there to ask her to not give Royal Assent.
You're really clutching at straws when you think Brenda can be persuaded by de Pfeffel to go against the lawful and democratic will expressed by her parliament.

But go on, the UK is also a betting nation: put your money where your mouth is; how much are you willing to bet on that?

(and no, violence and domestic terrorism doesn't count)

Well if there's a video of Jo Johnson stumbling his way over the back benches to Lib Dem corner I'd love to see it

As usual, you're wrong. Perhaps you should try checking facts rather than basing your posts on your prejudices?

Number of posts about Berger joining Lib Dems: 1
Number of posts about Lee joining Lib Dems: 2

I wonder what conservative party members make of all this now...
