All source games crash on startup. Access violation - code c0000005

    Hi

    I can't start tf2 or CS:GO.
I quickly see them in the startbar, then they are gone.
Here is a dump file: https://pastebin.com/raw/BqbHLTQr

This dump file has an exception of interest stored in it.
The stored exception information can be accessed via .ecxr.
What do I do to get more information out of this file?

I updated nvidia drivers. removed tf2 folder, installed it again, disabled cloud save and added -condebug tf2 still crashes right on startup. No log file gets generated.

Wild guess: make a DEP exception for it, or turn DEP off to test?

    Tried "bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff"
    Did not help.

I'll assume you did a full reboot after (Quickboot disabled).

No, but now. Did not help.
Also: No need to disable quickboot, as it does only suspend the kernel when pressing shutdown. Not on reboot.

Just a wild guess, because something similar strange happened to me before and this did solve it: have you tried to verify the game installation(s) in Steam itself?

Yes, verified, disabled cloud, removed, installed. And it's also across all source games (I tested CS GO and tf2)
