    [Friday] Oneiromancy

Cold & flu medications must have kicked in last night.

Dreamed I was cleaning out the linen closet of stuff that wasn't linens.

I found a paperback fantasy novel called "Await Chyvm - Book IV in The World Builder series". It had a beige-brown, sort of 70's vibe cover with two figures on it, one looked like Gaia from Captain Planet & The Planeteers, the other figure was a Roman general, like Tullius in Skyrim.

So if you should happen across such a novel, please get out of my head.

Just got back from a two day business trip to Berlin and am shattered. I booked extremely early and late flights to give me time to sight-see.

Amazed at how much of an architectural difference there is between east and west Berlin. You can see the cutover as you go down a street. From pleasant buildings with interesting facades on cosy roads to SOVIET CONCRETE BLOCKS ON ROADS WIDE ENOUGH FOR TANK COLUMNS COMRADE.

Unfortunately not. South of the Spree I didn't go any further east than Checkpoint Charley. My experience of East Berlin was all around Lichtenberg and Hellersdorf. I'll add that to the list of areas to visit if I followup with an actual holiday.

No. There are so many museums around central Berlin, but most of them were only open for very shot periods in the evening/morning that I could actually manage to attend (as this was a working trip). I chose to limit my options just to museums about Germanic history.

Pergamon was mostly greek stuff, right? I went to the Deutsches Historisches Museum which was close to there.

Definitely worth a visit. Sunday flea markets are good for a gander.
