    it can be done on easy (got it on my very first run of the game) just go for all islands. Even easier when you start the game with a previous max xp pilot.

    Starting to get the hang of this, second victory on hard with the rift walkers, nailed the 5 or more square dash kill on the way (had to reset the turn after it because the play was far from optimal). This was a perfect 2 island run, no building damage and all objectives completed along the way.

    I have also stopped worrying and started loving attacking my own mechs, sometimes to push them and give that one crucial tile more movement and sometimes to push into an enemy and damage them or to push free of webs... The mech hp is meant to be used

    47/55 and 41 hours played.

    I'm terrible at this game, enjoying though

    I'm beginning to think I'm just terrible at games in general... or maybe just strat games even though I seem to enjoy them the most.

    Currently walking through with 3x big mechs just punching my way across all the islands :>

    I find its not a game I can play tired.

    XCOM and everything is fine, but I just can't see the patterns any more if I'm knackered.

    Starting to get good at this, the complete 3 islands and destroy every time pod achievement done on hard with the hazard squad \o/ will attempt to win with the same game tomorrow, too tired now. 48/55

    Getting a win on the random squad will be the next one, that will finish all of the main achievements, leaving only squad specific ones.

    Bought it on Saturday. Already put 16 hours in. Game is fucking amazing. Playing on Normal, it's already challenging in some scenarios - slowly learning which missions are worth taking with which squads...

    Got the block 4 vek spawns achievement finally, so far that has been the most grindiest non-fun one to get and it required completely trashing the run.

    First random run on hard, got the smoke-artillery mech, the laser mech and the teleport mech. Going fine on the 3rd island and just managed to unlock the final missing pilot \o/

    Only stuff I'm now missing is on the random and custon squads.

    I'm still messing around on normal.
    So far I started to like the hazard squad, smoke squad and zenith guard.
    Can't really get around with ice or steel judokas (they seem to be doing too little damage).
    On the plus side I've just unlocked a zoltan pilot

    Finished the imba-random-run on hard, 4 island victory. Along the way unlocked the last missing pilot, got the 5 pods and 30% grid defense achievements for the random squad and the victory also completed the "total victory" achievement, as I now have victories on all squads. This brings me to 52/55. Only the no reputation used victory for random squad and the same class and all flying achievements for the custom squad remain.

    Shields block freezing without the shield disappearing


    And for the judokas I just recommend replacing the throw, grav cannon and the passive as soon as possible, after that they might become decent, worst squad of them all in my opinion. The have armor block 5 damage achievement is made way easier by putting a pilot that grants armor into one of the two non-armored mechs.

    Flight specialist achievement down, uset the jet mech, ice mech and swap mech, 2 islands on hard. First island was pretty terrible due to the non-existent damage, but after that swapped the smoke bombs on the jet mech to the janus cannon and got the "deal 1 (or 2 with upgrade) damage to all enemies once per battle ability and things started dying.

    53/55: Only missing class specialist (probably the next one) and lucky start (might need to switch to normal for that one...)

    Went down the line with the all same class, different mechs custom squad (punch, laser, shock), it all came down to two 30% grid resist rolls on the final turn, and neither of them resisted, 49% for that outcome, if one or both had resisted the victory was in the bank.

    Class specialist down finally, made it 3 times to the final turn before nailing it, in the end used punch, laser and aegis mechs. 54/55

    And lucky start done on the second attempt, got boulder mech, cannon mech and pulse mech, lowered the difficulty to normal for this one. That brings me to 55/55 and now I have the mythical secret squad =) And it looks interesting, but I shall leave it till the next session.

    I think this is the first game where I have gotten all of the achievements.

    The hardest thing for me to get used to is it is not about killing all enemies. Sometimes you just ignore them and protect buildings.
