I remember as a small kid watching western movies and series and thought to myself "wow those where wild times where people could just walk around with guns on them and get shot". Then I grew up and realized things haven't really changed from living in a small rural backwater town in the 1880's in the US and now. If anything more people walk around armed and it's even MORE dangerous. Funny how your perceptions as a small kid change of the real world once you grow up.
Ofc I didn't have any concept of what the 2A was back then I just though because of the lawlessness of the west, people just had to accept that humans roamed around armed to the teeth and no one could enforce it. lol

Fun fact: the Second Amendment wasn't interpreted to allow everyone unfettered access to guns in the 18th and 19th century. There were plenty of laws restricting gun ownership.

If you had properly read the post, you would have understood that the first amendments to the US constitution were meant to limit the federal government but not the states.
The tldr is that in the 18th and 19th century the bill of rights limited the federal government from enacting laws the states should enact. Including gun laws and establishing state churches.

Boulder, Colo., police officials updated the public regarding Monday’s mass shooting at the King Soopers grocery store that left 10 people dead, including the first police officer to arrive on the scene, revealing they have charged the suspect with 10 counts of first-degree murder.
Police identified the suspect as Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, a 21-year-old Arvada, Colo., man, though his motive for the attack was not specified at this time.
He was at the end of his rope ya know. Just a bad day and he wanted to vent his frustration on things that tempted him.
A cop was shot so the narrative is already gonna be pretty wild.
