Nine people shot outside my office building this afternoon. Handgun fight on a downtown street at rush hour.

‘Murica.

Ban the handguns, keep the ones with civic utility? (And yes I know it would be impossible to eliminate handguns from the black market so a ban is both futile and likely counterproductive.)

I remember as a small kid watching western movies and series and thought to myself "wow those where wild times where people could just walk around with guns on them and get shot". Then I grew up and realized things haven't really changed from living in a small rural backwater town in the 1880's in the US and now. If anything more people walk around armed and it's even MORE dangerous. Funny how your perceptions as a small kid change of the real world once you grow up.

Ofc I didn't have any concept of what the 2A was back then I just though because of the lawlessness of the west, people just had to accept that humans roamed around armed to the teeth and no one could enforce it. lol

Speaking of, it’s now making the rounds that the cop was misrepresented by certain people in the media. When he said that, he was quoting the shooter. You might have known that but most people still don’t.
