Editing ships in the Pyfa db

With the new changes I really want to start theorycrafting. I've looked through the eve.db file with SQLite, knowing that that is where the details for the ships are stored.

However, I have no idea how to make the changes I want to, and cannot find a guide on how to do it anywhere. I know one or two intrepid users on here used to do pre-release updates, are they still around?

    Here's hoping, cheers.
    Actually an '06.

I think those guys were doing EFT files, not Pyfa, as Pyfa is still maintained as opposed to EFT where development stalled for some reason.

Tbh I can't get myself to be able to use Pyfa as quickly and efficiently as EFT, for me it feels like having two left hands

i hate pyfa so fucking much, typical pythin bullshittery

i'd pay good money for current EFT. currently that's one of the main reasons keeping me away from eve, it's jsut such a massive pain in the ass building fits in pyfa, with characters and implants not working properly, and UI being utter shit

    so much agree.

have gotten used to it somewhat tho.

    Am becoming better.

We upload fits to fleetup and corp fittings so theres a baseline of shit you can use but i'll admit it ain't no EFT

I'll check that out, thank you

The in game fitting tool is pretty good these days, two big problems though : fits saved with it get their slots randomly rearranged, and the active tank numbers show raw hp, not ehp

    You do know eve in-game has a built-in semi-decent EFT-lite right?

    How about Osmium?

And yes I liked EFT too.

Can't say I have seen rearrangement myself.

Using multifit [when you have all the modules] does put them in the right order [from your current save] however which is handy.

Does anybody know in which file or folder all the fittings you've had are saved? I updated pyfa today and they are all gone

    C:\Users\username\.pyfa\saveddata.db ?
There might be backup ones from recent migrations.
