    TMA: Smartbombing pods

Not looking to become a pod whore, just realized I don't know the mechanics and thresholds.

Will three large yf-12a sbs kill a pod? What about an HG slave pod? Is there any damage falloff or do they do full damage all the way out?

I made this years back when I was an alcoholic eve player so it may not be accurate at all. I don't even recall making it over than it being in my personal Eve files.

I'd expect a pod to die to 3 direct hits from a yf-12a but you can always test it, p sure no need.

I'm drunk I probably didnt answer any of your questions

Thank you, that actually is helpful

So I've been doing a lot of testing (hehe) and it turns out that yes, three yf-12a plasma smartbombs will kill any pod (though haven't gotten to try an HG slave pod yet). Sweet

They often watch pvp fights cloacked in fast alligning and warping ships. When a player gets killed they warp to where the pod is warping, but land before them.

Yeah, that's not really gameplay that I'm interested in doing, what I've done instead is taken utility battleships that have spare high slots (Scorpion, Dominix) and am running three large SBs that let me pod targets as they die, situation permitting. Been really successful so far, especially in the Scorpion.
