TR if I can ever get in the bloody beta, they sound fun

I did what sand suggested above, it took a few tries and for them to scramble the keys a bit but i eventually got in.

I briefly played PS1 when they did fodderside(the one year free trial to BR6), i think i tried everything and only settled on NC because the jackhammer was pretty strong for the limitations I had. It sounds like they've evenned things out a bit more, though, so i'm completely at a loss.

Ya, as much as I hate some of the gear for the TR side (armor mainly), I love the TR philosophy and background.

The freaking Burster was my second love, right after the VS. I'm sorry, but fuck weapon systems that 1) tell the enemy you're going to be firing at them eventually, and 2) that you don't aim.

I heard (on a dev interview) that the closed beta will only be a few weeks (for hype and to check the servers work I guess), then it's beta for all.

Usually open beta for a F2P game is the same as release. I sure hope that's the case here.

they're back handing keys out via DM on twitter, you have to follow their account and ask nicely (@planetside2) but they appear to be sending out quite a few :P

I've got one account that has prior PS time and one that has a key from Twitter but no prior time. We'll see which one gets activated first.

I still don't know what faction I want to play. I want Terran for the backstory BS, NC for the general feel and weaponry themes, and VS for the Scythe (which I'll probably spend the most time in.) Dunno, I'll have to try them out and see if I can tolerate the VS's weak-ass looking weapons.

when they're dispersing keys, ask nicely and politely by going to the planetside2 twitter page and clicking on their reply link on the left side and entering words to ask. they may direct message (like PMs, but they can't use the same terminology because ) you a key if they are graceful and honourable

they seem to hand out keys from about 2pm GMT to 8am GMT (i think they're pacific time mostly so it makes sense). If you're fast at the copypasting you can probably get a public key if you follow the steps earlier in the thread as well

anyhow, when does the beta come out already, it feels like it's been a month
