Got a URL to his stream?
nvm: http://www.twitch.tv/totalbiscuit
He should really wear a hat at all times
It's all so pretty!
Not that it matters of course, once everyone gets over the initial SHINY stage and organises into corps etc we'll all just turn the graphics down to 0 and sound off in order to get the best performance
Ah here we are, the difficult micro transaction discussion.
"But buying power is certainly something this game is against isn't it?"
"... [conspicuous silence]..."
Well all that did was make me envious of those with beta keys....*sigh*
Yeah that didn't really tell me anything new. I enjoyed the short interviews with the players only 1 of whom knew wtf was going on. That one guy at the end "I liked the part where you get to kill guys" was amazing.
I need to hear serious discussion about the business model, the fact that no-one's talking about it makes me somewhat weary.
Like I said in this comment on the RPS forums, you'll find corporate greed everywhere not just in F2P models:

F2P just means you can take or leave a game before you've sunk more than you're willing to pay.

haven't watched it all yet. Supposedly, closed beta in a few weeks, open beta a few weeks after that, live sometime this year.
edit: also shows some of the store and stuff, along with what appears to be resource generation amounts (per minute, i'm guessing). Looks like at least some of the weapon upgrades are 750 station cash per each, which is basically $7.50, or can be purchased with ingame currency generated from PvPing called Auraxium. If the resource amounts are per minute, it would take around 30 hours of playing to get one with the map the way it was, probably a lot less if the NC wasn't getting murdered all the time :P . I assume those are somewhat higher tier upgrades though and they've unlocked a lot of basic stuff for the guys to play around with at e3.
edit again: Yeah, there are cheaper upgrades it looks like as well

The 514th Fighting Dusties will dominate the skies of bitterness, conquer the lands of unsubscriptions and annihilate the armies of P2W.
don't name your outfit after a bad game for PS 3
