Thread: Planetside 2 - FHC to go Vanu on EU Miller

Used to anchor two MAX either side of a main gateway... made it quite fun if you sat them back far enough that people couldn't draw direct LoS, so had to run in and got mown down... Until the tanks arrived and basically ran you over

This reminds me of way back when the TR Pounder was the anti infantry max, oh man how badly you could rape hallways.

I'm glad the whinging about it didn't kill it. It was one of my favorite MAX abilities. Burster freaking owned with Lockdown.

Oh no, there was plenty for an infantryman to do, even in the field.

In my experience, TB is very wrong when he said fighting only really occurred at bases. I remember plenty of places where a massive fight could last for hours in between (I remember one fight lasting for several days), and infantry was one of the big reasons why it would.

A ridge or hill often gave infantry enough cover from tanks to do very serious damage before the thing could get close enough to actually hit them. And by the time the enemy tanks crossed the 'No Man's Land', they'd have been obliterated by your tanks.

Actually, The TR had the only 3 man tank, the other two were 2 man. And the gunner used the more powerful railgun, and the driver had a smaller gun to use.

There's one place I remember fondly too, can't remember what the name of the continent was, but it was the big bridge on the lower left of the map.

I can remember a battle that lasted there for 6 days before it moved on, and many that lasted for at least 2 days there. That was a damn good bridge.

Well, the fighting only in bases was generally a function of low pop.

I wonder if they will bring back the TR Burster that was blatantly OP at the start of PS1.

I remember everyone would forgo the anti-infantry and anti-vehicle MAX suits and just use the anti-air MAX for all situations.

Group of infantry trying to attack you? Throw some flak at them!
Armor attacking you? Throw some flak at them!
Aircraft attacking you?........Throw some flak? THROW SOME FLAK AT THEM!

Of course the flak didn't do as much anti-infantry or anti-vehicle damage as the specialized variant, but because it gave off a nice splash damage and was able to be fired so fast it didn't matter.

And of course, I remember a time when my outfit had at least 10 AA MAX's on an outside wall of our base anchored down and just rained death upon our hapless foes.

You seriously think they keep those records and cross reference all of it?

Probably they will just export all active PS1 accounts and send to them.

I seriously doubt they will check beta signups against previous beta players...you're kind on a wing and a prayer there.

Some air physics showcased in this video. I was particularly interested in the move at 1:31 where he sort of stalls sideways and then starts off going the other direciton. Not totally realistic but certainly more complex than it used to be.

It's as if he is stalling, and then using the weight of the galaxy to get some downward mommentum and gain speed that way.
Also kinda glad that tb's planetside coverage is officially backed by soe now. Even if he has to stroke some sony dick for it, it's still more videos for us.

July edition of the UK PCGamer has priority access beta codes in.

Just applied mine to my other station account, keeping the one with my PS sub on it seperate, for extra opportunities.

I should get paid real life money to keep this thread up to date like I do.

Alternatively you may bow to me, that's also acceptable as currency.

Content is video of said stream:
