A bit better on the cap, better range and tracking, slightly less dps, and no fitting mods. Will fit one up in 6 hours after I get home from work and see if I can get a fight after DT.

At 500m he'll be MWD-off, dealing 240 DPS and taking 190 in return. TTK is now 18.6s TTL is 8.1. And this is assuming that he miraculously starts the fight in scram range with 0 damage.

I was with you until I got to here. Lord's Harpy does seem to be able to track well at over 4km, but it's not going to do anywhere close to 190dps at 500m (unless I'm making some sizable errors with my calculations). As far as I can see, if the ranis makes it to this range it will probably win the fight as incoming dps will likely be lower than 50 at this point (more like 20 according to my eft).

Care to point me to where I'm going wrong?

Two overheated webs well shuts down a ranis assuming the Harpy pilot doesn't try to approach but instead is burning away and forcing the ranis to close at a slower rate.

Derp, just tried to replicate my own numbers and failed. Was tired as fuck when I posted that, apparently had webs applied twice. Once in projected effects, once through EFT's automatic calculations. Not entirely sure why I had webs in projected effects, except maybe to get webbed velocity? Hell if I know.

Will re-do that analysis once I have more sleep and less stupid.

This actually happened tbh. Dread operative had a ranis on me at that range and I still melted him quite comfortably tbh.

He chased me on war out and landed on me <10km at the celestial.

I haven't had an issue killing anything with this in game so far.

Truth. The Taranins isn't the best kiting vs kiting ship with its 25k lock range. If your orbiting at 22k you have a high potential of loosing lock and your mods turning off. Went and looked at my logs and saw that's what happened. If your watching your overview for transverse and range and don't notice its a fatal mistake.

Ur tracking is pretty bad, but given enough time u should be able to kill them eventually.

More EHP(over time with MASB) and if you kill off the drones, you should be good for a reload, giving you even more tanking ability if he calls in friends while you're in the process of killing him and they want to kill you too.

Not really sure why you'd wanna use this ship tho, bonuses don't work that much in its favor.

I'd suggest an enyo for that kinda work, also my harpy works just fine up-engaging. I solo'd a hurricane, and would happily take on any cruiser in the game (I once took an SFI to hull before he BURNED FOR FREEDOM and got away, also I took a vigilant to 1/4 armor before Im assuming he got his bonuses into system and webbed me from 26km away :sadface: )

Killed as his draek friend landed from a short warp, didn't get me below 40% shields. Shortly after a couple more draeks landed followed by this guy who got balls deep but I tracked and killed him fine - I think dual webs rather than web/scram greatly improves tracking because their MWD stays on

urdoingitwrong if tracking is a problem. Either you're ~20 and having no problem tracking, or they're dual webbed and a stationary target(and you're having no problem tracking).

Look at my fit and your cap problems go away - lasts several minutes without webs running (webs should only be running when dealing with people trying to close with you, or when you've chased down/are killing something that was faster than you that's probably about to die due to your very nice dps.

I decided I prefer nanofiber + 2x mfs with overclocker + anti-em screen. Better ehp in shields than DCU and I find the speed and agility more important when fighting blobs
