Native 60fps and updated MP (since they mention up to 6 players) means they might even be just updating the engine completely to their new one, which means glorious times and doing it properly, especially since it's in house From Software. I am hype.

nice, i never played DS1. Keep meaning to but there's always newer better looking stuff about, so didn't get around to it. Will certainly be playing this though.

With DSfix and HD textures it the original looks pretty decent

I never got those to work for some reason.
I think I got about halfway through last time i tried it. it's a great game, but the age shines through so I get distracted after a while. Will defenately be getting this tho.

Remaster/Port is apparently being handled primarily by Polish studio QLOC, who seem to have a long list of well-regarded ports. FromSoft seems to be mostly hands off but may have some involvement. Switch port is being handled by an unknown Chinese studio.

there's rumours abound too that it'll be a full price "if you bought the first PC version go fuck yourself" release.
Not sure if it's worth 30 quid.

Depends on the upgrades of course. If it's solid then it is.

Scholar had two discounts. One if you had vanilla DS2, and a larger one if you had the DS2 DLCs. I only paid $20 for Scholar since I had the season pass for DS2.

So essentially you paid 20buck for a patch. Well done.

I don't care whether or not you think it was worth the money, that's a subjective valuation. I'm just pointing out the incorrect statement that it was "full price". There was an up to 50% discount.

I had DS2, but on 360, so I paid full price for SOTFS on steam. No regrets.

Same, but on PS3. Midnight launch.

Reviving Dark Souls with new online mechanics is timely. I'm interested to see if they do anything with Lost Izalith and the late game.
