In addition to creating the $18 million fund, terms of the settlement also require Activision Blizzard to overhaul its company practices, policies, and training procedures on discrimination, harassment, and retaliation and maintain compliance with the agreement, and will be subject to future audits from the EEOC.

Not sure if I go with the "hacked" theory, given the statement made by the leaker and the fact what was leaked in this first dump (which implies a follow-up), e.g. the complete Twitch source code back to its beginnings, proprietary SDKs and internal AWS services used by Twitch etc.
This sounds more like some (former?) disgruntled employee leaking stuff.

None of the above, it seems, just another typical misconfiguration that exposed the data/access to the public and someone stumbling over it.
In an advisory posted yesterday at 10:30 pm PT, Twitch has blamed the data exposure on a "server configuration change that was subsequently accessed by a malicious third party."
I don't buy that for a second. One doesn't "accidentally expose the entire organisation source/data/financials to the internet" with a single configuraiton cahnge, all that data wouldn't be in one palce for starters.

$67B (~611B SEK) is pretty much 50% of overall budget for Sweden in 2022 (~1200B SEK).
Since MS is valued at around $2200B, Sweden is mostly irrelevant in this conversation.
But we should probably charge more for letting MS and the others build up their DCs here.
And by charging them more I mean lets given them tax free electricity instead.
Heard a strange comment about this in the radio news this morning. Two sentences stood out to me, of which I think the first is BS.
1) "Experts agree that the Metaverse is the future"
(Old man yells at radio) "Care to name those 'experts', eh?"
(Old man concludes)"Most likely 'financial analysts'..."
2) "With this acquisition, MS becomes the 3rd largest game publisher." (Also mentioned in the linked article)
That's quite a jump start into the top of the league. I guess a MS Game Pass has become a lot more attractive all of a sudden - assuming the price tag won't go up at all/too much when adding Activision's catalogue.
