Tesla’s stopping distance of 152 feet (46 m) when braking at 60 miles per hour (100 km per hour) was “far worse” than any contemporary car tested by the magazine and about seven feet longer than the stopping distance of a Ford (F.N) F-150 full-sized pickup, it said.
    who needs good brakes?
On a $35k electric car I wouldn't be too picky about brakes... or most things other than range and it not bursting into flames.

Although the fact that the one you probably want is at least $44k starts sounding less great.

Do keep in mind that the brakes are entirely different than a regular car. They are not a simple rotor and caliper setup but essentially a rotor/stater generator with a little drum brake action thrown in.

I don't think that should be an excuse but then again car and driver's tests put it better than other e cars

Still pretty damning to have consumer reports write a pretty bad review.

In before Don says the Porsche electric cars all stop before you even touch the brake.

Back in the WW II days, due to gas shortage, Germany used those (=coal/wood fueled) cars in civil services, e.g. postal service. My grandpa drove an Opel Blitz similar to this one:
