Some birds are smart. I've met birds that are probably smarter than a few of the people on this forum. Some birds are pretty damn stupid. Thinking they're all the same is a bit like thinking all mammals are the same. Also their vision systems are rather different from ours, and again vary wildly across species.

    I didn't think so.

Today I tried a bicycle with internal gear hub. Did not like it at all, it was noticeable harder to peddle.

A new bike that I liked would cost me about 4000 DKK. (External gear, but V breaks)
Fixing my old would cost around 2000 DKK, but I really like it. And it has hydraulic breaks, which feel better. More snappy. And you don't have to change any wires.

Meeeeh, it will takes weeks before I can agree with myself on what to do

is there a reason you need 2k to fix a bike ? what did you do to it ? run the gearing trough a grinder or something ?
    Viking, n.:
    1. Daring Scandinavian seafarers, explorers, adventurers, entrepreneurs world-famous for their aggressive, nautical import business, highly leveraged takeovers and blue eyes.
    2. Bloodthirsty sea pirates who ravaged northern Europe beginning in the 9th century.

Hagar's note: The first definition is much preferred; the second is used only by malcontents, the envious, and disgruntled owners of waterfront property.

Using it every day, for the last ~10 years. (Though it got a new gearing ~3 years ago)
    Mud, rain, salt.
    Rarely maintained.

not even hosed down occasionally ? that's p.fucking terrible. you are bad and should feel bad for that.

also, it's a good excuse for getting a new one.

    >The Economist

Let me guess, it's going to talk about people wanting to short tesla, give a history of Musks' involvement of electric cars/'groundbreaking' tech using long paragraphs in the middle of the article then finish with a few short paragraphs saying something poignant about how even if he fails to get to the destination [of profitability] what's important is the friendships you make along the way?

edit: I'd forgotten how angry The Economist makes me.

That thing looks excellent. Shame about the range extender but I can think of no better way to show that electric can cut the mustard.

It does, doesn't it? They should really consider building left hand steering for overseas taxi markets aswell. There's already heaps of TMS's cabs in Norway already.
