    Viking, n.:
    1. Daring Scandinavian seafarers, explorers, adventurers, entrepreneurs world-famous for their aggressive, nautical import business, highly leveraged takeovers and blue eyes.
    2. Bloodthirsty sea pirates who ravaged northern Europe beginning in the 9th century.

Hagar's note: The first definition is much preferred; the second is used only by malcontents, the envious, and disgruntled owners of waterfront property.

Because there have never been any hurricanes in the past

    dude
    three at once though?
yes three in a row isn't unheard of. Also if history is something we can trust the third will either go somewhere in the north east or miss 'murica completely an pitter out somewhere in the north atlantic and while we are looking at Jose another hurricane or two will develop.
Three at once with this power ? Could you say when in the past this happened ?

Ye know, we do get sustained winds of 90mph+ on a semi regular basis in winter, right? This is what my commute has looked like in the last 5 winters

It got slightly wrecked about 4 years ago. They put some glue n the ballest when they repaired it, all good now!

Quite a lot, it's actually rather normal when the conditions to create hurricanes are as perfect as it is right now. Warm water just being 1 ingredient in a 3 ingredient recipe. As long as the conditions remain the same somewhere west of the coast of Africa hurricanes will continue to be developed with reasonable regularity and predictability.

    4 hurricanes at once!?!

As for the worst hurrciane in history it's kinda spotty due to the date wind speed might have been above 200mph but it can't be proven and the storm surge was 25 feet which could be reliably measured. This happened in 1780.

weather here has been pretty erratic too, with basically tropical storms, but compared to murica it's nothing

Did they need saving? Not trying to be callous, just curious. Is it that they cant support their weight on land and breathe?

Its obviously not comfortable, but i imagine they could have made it.
