Regarding MT for standings: what others said, but it has also been mentioned in some other thread that such game design would also encourage making mission grinding even more painful than it already is so that people would be more willing to just pay for it.

Where is our
PLEX and before that GTCs... player to player "I give you ton of ISK and you pay me subscription" has been going on legally in EVE for ages.
1. It isn't RMT because no one except CCP is earning any money from it.
2. CCP isn't selling anything other than game time (something that MMO provider is supposed to do anyway)
3. Once again, it isn't a microtransaction, nothing but subscription (token) is sold by CCP to anyone.
4. with real microtransactions you have players buying in game items or services directly from game publisher, for real money or equivalent (AUR in our case)

FWIW I think the CSM is being lied to again, and because the Icelanders are all chummy and BFF to them, they think it'll all be ok "once this is sorted out". Pathalogical liars like Zulu don't suddenly become straight because a PR tool is in the house. They just use that PR tool to make the discussions look important (if this were the 70s the room would be filled with smoke and there'd be coffee mugs all over) and then do a few things to make it look like they're changing their minds a bit and being all :srscustomers:, but they won't.

Being able to repair broken faction standings with 0 effort.
For example it'll be a huge benefit to alliances that gypsy through NPC space as far more players will be able to run 0.0 missions with minimal investment. Also all those guys that nursed their standings to keep these options open just got kicked in the nuts as anyone with RL cash can compete with them and bring down the value of their LP.
Can also add that why would CCP ever deliver on their promises for more pirate epic arcs when they're getting payed cash by people because they aren't available.
