Let's face it she's old and the prospect of giving up the smokes is not very attractive vs the sweet embrace of death.

Had lunch with the long distant past today.

I'm very, very glad the past is in the past.

When I run in to exes, I am always relieved if they got fat and ugly. Maybe I am a dick like that.

I've found all the married ones do at least. It seems to be some rule that married women get fatter.

All my exes look awesome, it's only me who's slowly falling apart
I was somewhere around Old Man Star, on the edge of Essence, when drugs began to take hold.

One of my exes married a bloke who is basically a balder version of me (IKR) and had kids by him.

It amuses me greatly in the grand scheme of things.

    >trying to measure baldness objectively

Basically, once it starts to go you will always look better with just a shaved head so being technically "less bald" is not some kind of advantage.

This. The only hard part is having a hard conversation with yourself about where exactly the proverbial line in the sand (hair?) lies.

Look at the older men on your Mothers side of your family.

Thats you in a few years (generally speaking) baldness wise.

Sucks, but is what it is. My Dad's side (the Scots) all kept their hair very late into life.

My Mom's side (the Irish) were all grey at 30 and bald by 40.

Yup, guess where I am now? Yeah.
