I am apparently a scrub. I've seen lots of titans running injectors, but whats the reason for it? Seems to me like cap rechargers would be better.

Aren't they useless in lagfest fleet fights though? It's just another thing to get stuck.

Oh, also i've seen some people fitting damage mods and shit to titans now, people seem a lot more willing to use them on the front line again.

Well in high lag you tend to get infinite cap anyway so its a moot point.
As for fitting damage mods and "shit" to titans I like to think I led the way a couple years ago with my use of a pve fit titan in the north to combat the NC menace.

Cap boosters give a much better regen rate than officer cap rechargers and all for the cost of some 800 charges.
If you can't keep a titan supplied with 800 charges you probably shouldn't be flying one.

Having opened eft and done :maths:, 3x t2 injectors is almost as good as 3x draclira rechargers. Those draclira rechargers are what, 3bn each minimum? Thats somewhere around 1 million cap booster 800s or about 54 days of constant cap boosting, with the added benefit of not being completely fucked over by neuting since you can always inject and run your guns.

I prefer pulse because you can still hit at 130km with them and if you try to snipe people burn/warp in close anyway.
Also pulse tracking is fucking win.

Slave implants with akemons and whatever hardwirings float your boat.
Back in the old days of nano titans it was pretty much standard to fit nomads so you could warp in, DD then fuck off sharpish before anyone could bubble you.
Now nomads are relegated to being a more efficient titan npcer.

Triple cap boosters is just one fit depending on lag/stuck modules it could pose an issue but generally they give a much higher cap recharge rate than even the best officer capacitor rechargers and only require cheap charges which you can hold thousands of.

not to mention the neut protection they provide for your tank/guns to keep firing.

it gets A LOT better once you include the avatar's gang bonus - but ye, boosters are still better than t2 rechargers. only the 3rd officer (2nd worst) recharger can keep up (selynne)

    Something productive like drive-by shootings?

But I kinda see how that got less fun with the removel of the AOE doomsday. Still, I fondly remember the times when you would get doomsdayed almost everytime you jumped into hed-gp with 5 other dudes.

Except if you include the avatar gang bonus the boosters are still better for cap generation.

I remember asking why capitals didn't use cap boosters instead of cap rechargers. Citing the same reasons.

    I got called a noob a lot

Glad to see things have changed.
