That might have been possible in 1944 but Stalin was a paranoid coward

    FYP
Except no one is starving to death in Venezuela. That is a blatant lie propagated by right wing/american press.
    According to who?

I know actual Venezuelans who are in regular contact with family back home.

Everyone is struggling to buy food and not everyone is able to queue outside shops all day to see if there's anything to buy and not everyone has the money to buy from the black market. So yeah, people are dying.

The formula scandal barely scratched the surface.

Nestle has controversies coming out the wazoo. Child and slave labour in its supplier network, pollution issues, habitat destruction, price fixing etc...

There was that water scandal as well.

They also send a shit load of money the UN's way and get their branding on reports about global development. All the reports are inevitably about it making easier for companies like them to set up shop in developing nations and use their economic might to displace the functions of whatever governance currently exists there.

I don't think this factoid makes the point you want it to.
Please explain? The point made in the piece was that dolartoday.com's ludicrous exchange rates used by black marketeers are a large part of what's driving inflation.
When a dude with a website can affect your countries inflation rate...
OK OK OK but "factoid" means something that ISN'T true.
um, no, that's not the definition I used. Both are acceptable.

a brief or trivial item of news or information.
Only in the sense that "literally" means "figuratively" to fucking dumb people.

The word did not appear in the English language until Norman Mailer's biography of Marilyn Monroe and it means the opposite of fact.

Poland treats me like shit and I hate them as a result of it

Since its creation in 1973 the term has evolved from its original meaning and has assumed other meanings, particularly being used to describe a brief or trivial item of news or information.

    Stop living in the past.

The good old hyper inflation seems to be heading towards Venezuela, last estimate I have seen was 800% inflation, and the estimates have been doubling every few weeks...
