STOCKHOLM – March 1st, 2017 — Paradox Interactive, a publisher on the front line of gaming, today announced that it has partnered with Eugen Systems, a renowned developer of games such as the Wargame-series and R.U.S.E., to release Steel Division: Normandy 44, a new tactical real-time strategy game for Windows PCs. Steel Division: Normandy 44 is a game that puts players in command of historically accurate tanks, troops, and vehicles at the height of World War II, and will feature a single-player campaign alongside online multiplayer modes, up to and including 10-versus-10 battles. The game will be available later this year.

I understand the choice of setting as well, it saves them having to include the Luftwaffe

The game nomenclature allows for "Steel Division: Kursk 43" or somesuch as the second game.

The games are really old now but Battlefront's Combat Mission series covered both Normandy and the Eastern Front at the single vehicle, infantry section level. They even have Syrian and Crimean modern battles.

I'm pretty sure you are going to get the opportunity to buy literally all the soviet DLC possible comrade. If there are two companies who know how to get DLC out, it's these two. IS-2 best 2.
    meh

i'd like to see Case Yellow as well, the battle of France, the game's engine is quite well suited to that specific type of setting.
    Viking, n.:
    1. Daring Scandinavian seafarers, explorers, adventurers, entrepreneurs world-famous for their aggressive, nautical import business, highly leveraged takeovers and blue eyes.
    2. Bloodthirsty sea pirates who ravaged northern Europe beginning in the 9th century.

Hagar's note: The first definition is much preferred; the second is used only by malcontents, the envious, and disgruntled owners of waterfront property.

I hope they put in the co-op multiplayer campaign mode like in Airland Battle. Most fun I had in an RTS, especially when fighting with a depleted division against a fresh enemy brigade.

hopefully its not shit, i've been waiting for a ww2 wargame.

ATGM in general were a bit meh in red dragon anyway, the only thing i'm worried is the AA vs Air aspect. Could be a little boring if the entire radar stuff is out of the picture tbh.

What you're looking for is called Combat Mission. Without a doubt the best tactical level wargame series ever made.
