I've seen claims that the reduced number of episodes gives them a larger CGI budget, but that one shot in Ep2 where they open the airlock and zoom out from the Roci looked really bad below their usual standard.

Rosenfeld and Liang have the potential to be good characters but I doubt they'll get too much screen time.

Genuinely didint bother with the series once it switched to Amazon, as Amazon studios CGI looks weird. Cant explain it, feels a bit like a Zack Sneider film at all times. Just wrong

Finished it yesterday, and I had no fucking clue what happened during the ring station bit.
The last page was a fun surprise.

This makes me think there is more of The Expanse planned. I don't see why you would include the Laconia story line if it ends here.

There's rumours around about 3 movies at the moment, partially hinted at by some of the actors in the show. Nothing confirmed yet.

Given that they already included the Laconia part set 30+ years later, which in the books "feature" the unceremonious death of Avasarala, there's hope they keep her alive in the books. Or at least write her the glorious death she deserves.

On an unrelated note: I like how they handle the death of Alex. A few plausible comments and memories here and there.
