sure it's all still viral at this point? Not an opportunistic bacterial? By this point I'd be at the GP for a course of antibiotics, but that's me - any ear activity during flu for me is odds-are-likely an opportunistic bacterial trying to nest in my mastoid again - Mastoiditis, not even once.
They don't hand out antibiotics like candy here in NL, by the time your test results are back to prove that antibiotics would actually help you're probably already better. I only had 1 leaking ear for a few days, went to doctor to check that, and now we're at the point where as soon as progress slows down we'll go back to the doctor again but hopefully that won't be necessary.

I woke up at 11:30 and missed a great Eve onliné fight.

    Now I'm mad at myself

I made myself roll out of bed at 10am, had a great dreadbrawl (got to DD some nerds towards the end), not investigating the possibilities of coffee.

The viral thing is most probably an influenza. The ear infection is quite obviously a secondary, most probably bacterial infection. The GP said antibiotics for that alone would not be effective (enough). The bar for getting antibiotics is (rightly) high here - they have to be sure it will be effective, or you're not getting them. It's not as if they are uniformly delightful for your body either, so .. yeah, I get it. Especially with the rising resistance levels in bacteria.

For a while I feared the emergence of a pneumonia (because why not, really), but I think we're getting out of the woods now. When Overspark's fever spiked really high, I gave it a 50% chance that I'd have to lug him to the hospital within hours, but luckily the fever dropped half a degree Celsius quite quickly. If the recovery stagnates, I'll get him to the GP again and then it's probably antibiotics, but I"m reasonably confident he's on the way to normalcy again.

Spent the past week in the guest room on a shitty bed because sleeping next to a mucus producing, snoring, coughing patient was not doing me (or him) any favours, but I'm now starting to feel pretty.. broken, haha. Lack of sleep, nursing a patient, doing everything around the house including groceries.. meh. Took off a few hours from work, but next week that's going to be impossible unless he's really sick again. Oh well. Mums do it all the time, I guess I should be able to as well.

Brda. Right next to debela peč. We were planning on going to debela peč but took a left instead of a right and ended up there. 2 of the group still went to debela peč i ended up going back to the cottage since my toes were cooooold.

Because you dont have any real in demand skills which would allow you to move abroad and live in a life of decent luxury.

    Should have studied something useful...

    :P
I can fix bikes, heard western EU is big on bikes

But yeah, should've studied something else than linguistics.
Come to Britain, we love bikes and you.. probably won't get spat at by xenophobes?

Poland treats me like shit and I hate them as a result of it
