    10.
It was only the shifty 3050 refit that lost 5 of them.

LOL before reading this thread today I went to check if hunchbacks were actually in the game. They are the awesome (unlike the awesome).

4P and 4SP were my favorites.. I would need to hack the game for a lance of these things.

    get out of here, stalker.

Not the best Stalker fit. 4x LRM20's does too much damage. Consumes too much ammo and cooks too fast.
Key to LRM boating is to use just enough missiles to make the 'Mech unstable, then next in line delivers the Knock Down.

Last mission I ran yesterday I faced 9 assaults.
My 2x Highlander and 2x Stalkers I could knock down 3 'Mechs per turn.
Cored two Banshee's rest I killed pilots on.

I'm debating whether to decrease stability damage on LRMs in my mod file. They really are far too good at knockdowns right now.

Problem is the rarer versions with +1 and +2 stability damage.
    Those should not have existed.

I think i might drop Stab damage by 2 all round. That means the +2 ones will be in line with current basic ones, and basic ones will not be causing KD's every turn....you'll actually have to work over 2 turns quite often, which changes things a lot.

Might be too much but i'll test it.

I think a -1 would be fair. By the end game all the pilots you're facing are Elite, or close enough, so have the same stability bonus your pilots do. I agree that you really shouldn't be able to KD 2-3 mechs every single round without breaking a sweat.

so, let's talk about pilot skills.

is there anybody out there taking anything else than bulwark+multishot+breaching shot ?

i can just barely see a case for taking master tactician, but everything else seems pointless.

No, there is no point in selecting anything beside those for Heavy/Assault pilots.
Ace Pilot would have been good, but +1 evasion is pointless.

I hope they will address the skill system.

decided to restart my 5/part per mech/no parts on coring run, why ?

because i ended up over-upgrading the argo and ran out of money, herpy derpy.

so to spice things up, i've decided to nerf-stick the starting lance this time, the Blackjack stays, the Vindicator becomes a Panther and the Shadowhawk a Commando, because if you're going to make shit grindy, do it like a man. (seriously, you don't want to go much further down in firepower for the first mission due to it's scripted nature)
