It's basically a "gotta catch them all" minigame with absolutely no consequence or worth whatsoever. The absolute best thing you can achieve with it are steam badges and a higher steam level. Feel free to sell them all, but I don't know of an easy way to do that unfortunately. Also, I think it's making Steam tens of millions (or more?) per month even though all the cards are close to worthless because they take a decent cut on each transaction and there are a lot of them.

In other news I've discovered the youtube series A Nomad Tale and it's making me want to play EVE Online again. Send help.
    why would you share this??

It's entirely pointless really. You can use them to craft badges which gives you xp which you use to "level up" your steam level which adds friend slots and extra profile showcase slots. But again, mostly pointless. The only "easier" way to sell cards is go to

    Profile-->Badges

For each individual game that you have cards for, you should see a "sell these cards on the market" that will list all the cards for that game.

This seems to be a prevention measure in case your account got hacked, when Steam detects "mass market activity".

If you have the Steam App installed (acts as 2FA, so recommended anyway), there's a "Confirmation" page where all those on hold items are listed and you can confirm their listings there = immediate listing on the market place.

But yeah, it's a PITA to go thru all of these and list them individually.

tbh not worth the effort for maybe getting 2-4 cents a card. Just wish one could turn off all notifications and presence of the cards in the UI.

Have been playing Stone's Hard (again) for 4 days now. It's just another fucking indie medieval fantasy RPG but turn-based with lots of "survival" mechanics.
Development may seem slow but it gained traction since i last played it as two major updates dropped within a year.

    There's also a demo https://store.steampowered.com/app/8...hard_Prologue/

It's literally the version I'm playing. Maybe it's just because I'm at the very start but this just seems... dead.

It's also buggy, started crashing almost constantly in Garbage level after about 4 hours of playing.

Just finished replaying the 3 stalkers and am also now playing anomaly. I think its great!

*vanilla anomaly, im not gonna start putting mods on mods as stalker is buggy as fuuuuck

Only issues ive had so far is companions glitching, but a reload from a quicksave solves it.

Just a nice moody scavenger game tbh

After I uninstalled a couple of the worst "tryhard" mods in the GAMMA collection, it's kinda ok now. But goddamn these games were buggy and the AI was more artificial than intelligent tbh

Only good AI I ever encountered was in FEAR, and it was mostly because of how simplistic arenas to navigate through were.

Don't worry, sooner or later we'll have to deal with ChatGPT (or similar) fueled AIs.

    :Welp:

Now add MS new AI to the mix, which apparently can simulate anyone’s voice with 3 seconds of audio and you've got top actor's voice acting even for the worst indi game.

BTW (and off-topic), the more I read about ChatGPT, the more I'm worried. It was fun at first, but now that lots of people dig into it, it becomes worrisome in lots of ways. E.g. security researchers got it to write working malware for them. Or that it actually fakes references when asked to write scientific papers. As of now, they're easy to spot, because the produced links are all 404s. But imagine it creating links to actual sites which it also made up. Another one and a bit more tricky is the fact that it has also cited a study by an actual researcher in that field, just that the study's name and referenced content was completely made up by it.

Tbh the best part of Stalker was the map and environments. Gunplay is legit too. At least this will allow me to visit areas of the map that crashed my playthroughs of SoC and CoP.

Silenced MP5 + shotgun combo, long time no see old buddies.

@ Duckslayer, esquire: allegedly GAMMA is a collection of (quite stable and friendly to each other) mods that make Anomaly a bit more... playable As long as you untick the "all is dead and brown" visual preset and the "you can't buy weapons or armor and have to fix everything yourself" mods, which I did and then the game turned 75% better.

Oh, I actually liked those; even though it resulted in the first few hours to be a right slog - getting a new shooter (and restoring it to working condition) is quite rewarding.

The things that put me off eventually was that instead of looking to improve stability, author just kept piling more jank on top of existing jank: adding driveable cars (that worked on single map), player-craftable bases, basically the whole kitchen sink

I limited what the traders sell (at best they have like 2 pistols and/or a single rifle andor a suit of armor to sell at exorbitant prices that I can't afford anyway) so the whole crafting thing is still front and center, I just kinda fund it silly I couldn't buy or sell a single weapon to anyone in the Zone

I picked up Kena: Bridge of Spirits for $20 recently and have played for about 4 hours. Think of it as a Pixar version of Tomb Raider or Horizon Zero Dawn. It's very pretty, intuitive, challenging, and fun! Definitely recommend it.
