Defensive buffs are essential for tacticians mode, as is (ab)using teleport, barrels and aggrro ranges (at least at the start, when your party likely doesn't have the spells it needs

This is why I've only got like 10 hours logged on that shit.
"Here! Have some options! But don't you dare use them or we'll do impolite things to your anus." Not a good gamedesign.

Eh, there are some teams that have anti-synergy and some teams that are just flat out bad (see: a team that can't hit every row on 3/4 of their turns) but I haven't found much cheese requirement so far, and I'm about to smash the Countess

Things got 500% easier when I stopped bringing a healer and finished the Shieldbreaker's dream quest

Theres an interesting trend tho where people flock to early access games when they show potential, get disappointed at lack of content even if the base game is great, and then dont pick it back up when full release hits.

I think its fine for things that were either crowd-sourced, or its super tiny indy that doesnt have a distributor past Steam. As a PR tool, it often falls flat on its face. Guess the money is too good not to do it.

Is it a trend or something that people like to say so they feel better than others?

Plot is by far the weakest part of the game.

Just finished a run through of Heat Signature. Pretty fun space-based roguelike involving boarding hostile spaceships and gradually taking over a small galactic cluster. The endgame drags on a bit though - you reach a point where you've gained access to enough items to make even supposedly hard missions fairly formulaic and unchallenging, but still have a fair bit of grinding to go through to wrap things up. It's at its best in the early and mid-game phases where you have to improvise a lot to get things done and can't guarantee access to any particular item/ability.

Bought Stick Fight: The Game on Steam 'cause a mate bought a 4 pack and it's almost exclusively what we've all played for the past 2 days.
