I don't know what to say. But I really wonder what the enemy had. Also 19 Guardians in lowsec, isn't that like overkill? And still loose one? (and then there is the option that not all guardians agressed with their drones.)

BR please, even if it was a full gank.
Looks like a tower fight, at least one of the HUN ships has a control tower on the killmail. The lost Guardian was Amarr FW, not Rooks. And yeah, no AB + shitty resist platings = alpha'd.

    -O
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those Thukkers, that way I wouldn't have to have any goddamn stupid useless conversations with anybody.

Just a funny little fight, nothing serious:

    ================================================== ===========================================

So, I found a Naglfar bashing an offline POS today in Black Rise with an Ishkur & Myrmidon (seriously). I missed tackle the first time since he was aligned & out of siege, but managed to get it on the second attempt. Jumping up on comms (since I was soloing), I informed the rest of the guys of the situation and they made their way over in Battlecruisers, along with an single Taranis to scout the 10-odd jumps to the destination from Hevrice.

Luckily, an ex-Tusker was on and next door and he grabbed his Machariel as I held point single-handedly against the Naglfar and drove off the enemy support - a Myrmidon and an Oracle, assisted by assigned fighters from a Thanatos sitting on station.

Machariel landed, the enemy support disengaged as we kept the dread tackled. Keeping an eye on d-scan, I noticed a Hel had popped up. We thought these guys had supers but were pretty sure they wouldn't bring the Super on field to save a single dread. Except they did.

Well, it turns out after CCP removed their dronebays and left them with only fighter/fighterbomber bays, supercarriers really aren't a threat to sub-caps. We went after his fighters to take DPS off the Machariel and managed to pop ~10 in total before the Hel warped off in retreat from a single Drake + Machariel. Our backup arrived shortly afterwards and we started carving through the Nagflar.

When he entered armor, he initiated self destruct. Thankfully, he aborted it with ~30 seconds to spare so we actually got the mail as well as his shiny pod.

Fun day for Minmatar militia. In the space of 12 hours the Amarr pigdog managed to take Arzad from pristine to vulnerable, and were killing the bunker with a tier 3 fleet right after DT. We plexed the bunker out from under them, completely circumventing their 6 archons and other heavy stuff and skirmished back and forth for most of the afternoon. At time of writing it is safely back in Minmatar hands.

A lot of stuff happening in the north front also. Squids have apparently woken up and are contesting tons of systems (most of which were native Caldari sov). I see people who had sworn to not touch plexing because "its too boring" spinning buttons hoping to get gfs.

Nice BR's throughout n thought i'd chuck a small engagment on for a bit of small gang sub-cap shennanigans from our random Sat night roam just to break the trend of everyone dropping caps left right and centre....

    Preface
BYDI is still floating around Gallente low sec, although not in huge numbers, so its been interesting watching the larger gangs floating round our neck of the woods (Ostingele was dissapointing as we were enjoying a nice relaxing time there when the customs office ping pong started), so this weekend we thought we'd muster the chaps and see what a balenced fleet could do on a Sat night around the area.

We invited our TEMPLAR. alliance buddies along for the fun (personally been on a break for a while so no real idea who they all are, think its mainly younger players learning about PVP/Piracy, decent bunch mind) so it was a bit of a learning curve for us to have to balance the assumed knowledge of a BYDI pilot (usually a minimum of 2-3 years of PVP behind them) with the less experienced pilots.

    Fleet Composition
    BYDI/Friends (basically fast, squishy fun)
    DPS: 3x Tornados, 1x Zealot
    Tackle: 1x Cynabal, 1x Arazu
    E-War: 1x Curse, 1x Rapier, 2x Falcon
    Comfort Blanket: 3x Scimitars

    Illicitly Liberated/Friends (buffer/gank squad)
DPS: Abaddon, Megathron, Dominix, Sacralige, 2x canes, 3x Damnation, Purifier
    Comfort Blanket: 3x Guardians
(I think this was all of them, however I've slept since the fight so forgive me if I've missed any others off who we didn't kill at the time)

    The Fun
We'd spent a coupla hours floating from Yvangier across gallente low sec visiting the various hot-spots and dissapointingly finding no-one at home, narrowly missing out on getting to grips with 2x fleets on the Kedama side of Tama (can't remember compositions tbh), when we finally stumbled on a gate-camp mid gank in Kinakka that looked like it could be a good match-up, relatively even numbers vs. a brick gank squad.

Now i wish i could say there followed an intricate number of warps back and forth whilst both sides positioned themselves for advantage... but this is eve and nothing works to plan (plus we had Rathnon FC-ing, always a handycap)... mid-way through outlining targets/strategies a random Rokh jumps into the camp from high sec and we scramble into system whilst they're busy mullering him...

Main group drops on top of their gang with support at range and falcons immediately focus on neutralising their guardians, always fun with only 1 amarr jammer/falcon vs. 3x guardians, with damage jumping between targets to keep their logis focusing and on their toes.

Fair play to them they were keeping up well and starting to break our logi chain, taking the arazu into armor before overloaded reps managed to pull him from the brink. Finally the EvE dice rolled into our favour and all 3 guardians picked up jams at the same time - commence mad overloaded shooting spree to try and down them in 15s....

...first one gone in 10s, second one into deep armor...

...phew got the second jam cycle... logis popped... reps stabalised...

Time to start mopping up the rest. Without reps it was pretty one sided after that but ironically enough whilst our logi pilots indulged in some anti SB fun (http://bydi.griefwatch.net/?p=details&kill=80764) no-one bothered to point the damnations/sacrilage and they slunk off safe to the station.

GF's all around and a nice fight to cap off a night of trawling through a strangely deserted low sec - hell there were only 12 in OMS when we passed through there.

Overall Kills: Megathron, Abaddon, 3x Guardians, Purifier, 2x Canes
Losses: No ships, one pair of pants for Audithor after his close escape.

Engagement Link: http://bydi.griefwatch.net/?p=engagement&kill=80760 <-- Griefwatch blows so don't blame me if it doesnt display correctly

Ok, little bit of back story first. Friday night we began Operation Tapatalk by moving an amazing amount of ships clear cross empire via carriers and just as a settling in type thing dec'd the locals and reinforced a POCO to give us something to do for tonight. War went live yesterday, we killed a few things, lost a couple of things and as I understand it people had a good time. Tonight was intended to be the big hurrar though so we set-up notifications everywhere and prepared.

Before I get into the meat and potatoes of it I want to give the biggest fucking ups possible to our covert ops team, who feed the fleet with so much intel tonight that along with spot on probing that the poor bastards we were fighting didn't have a real chance to get what they seemed to be doing working.

So, 1900 rolls around, and we've got 15-20 in fleet. Between various systems we're seeing potentially 40+ coming in with a ship range starting at thoraxes (which as it turns out were fitted with named stuff. Wuh.) and going right up to a small contingent of GODSQUAD (Elite Honourable high-sec PVPers) in legions, proteus and such. Ideas were banded about on coms as to how we should go about this, but Larkonis being our mighty CEO went all right chaps undock in tier 3 BCs, the games afoot. We start bouncing about the system a bit and as HONOURABLE SPACE CAPTAIN Jade Constantine jumps his merry lot in we get a warp in on them and bang, down goes jades thorax, and then bang, down goes the pod. We slap ourselves on the back a bit, then realise jades pod was worth like 800mil. Our isk efficiency backbone etc

The bouncing continues for a while. We shoot the POCO a bit, Jades lot try and get a warp-in, we warp out, come back, blap at them a bit and then keep shooting the poco. And so it goes on like this for a good 30-40 minutes. Eventually I guess the hostile fleet goes fuck this, because a plated up mauler warps to the poco, lights a cyno and they bring in an archon. We think about having a poke at it, but honestly tier 3 BCs arn't intended for sustained combat vs the kind of odds we're looking at so we let the archon do it's thing. Over the course of the last hour local has been slowly creeping up, and while when we started shooting at jade local was mid 40s it's now sitting at 100 and our fleets only numbering 25, with scouts, so changing tact,a group of our guys leaves for a nearby system to RF a POCO and see if we can bait the fleet off into leaving the reps alone at which point the rest of us will jump the archon, rape it and then gtfo before we get welped. They don't go for it though and just camp the station all our shits in

As they're nearly done with the POCO repairs local starts to drop and we spot an opportunity and undock an archon. They go for it for a second and we undock I think 14 BS. Enemy fleet immediately bails and we only get a drake for our troubles

At this they're done and local empties. POCO hasn't been fully repaired though so we drop back into t3 BCs and just finish the thing.

    Our Killboard

It should be noted that on top of everything, we're getting paid for this Happy Clients are Happy.

We also found time to reinforce another POCO a few jumps away halfway through that fight.

quick summary from my view(as i live in amoderia)...

myself and a buddy of mine rf'd all the poco's in amoderia. timers were coming out and the project wildfire alliance came to defend/rep up the shields on the poco's. we didn't have numbers to fight project wildfire as we only were able to form about 15~ guys and project wildfire was REALLY serious about saving their poco's with 50~ guys in a support fleet next door. initially they had brought in roughly 10~ carriers all repping and some triaged to rep a poco...they were almost done with the first one and r&k bridged in with a faction bs fleet onto the carriers. they primaried a thanny and the project wildfire guys brought in their 40-50 man support fleet forcing r&k to dock up and wait for reinforcements. project wildfire blobbed the station and were able to rep the first poco right as shadow cartel entered into system via bridge. directly on the carriers repping the poco and get to work on killing. project wildfire takes their 40~ dudes from station and defend their caps with zero success. r&k undocks and enters the fight...carriers die...faction battleships die...project wildfire runs away. the end.

Yeah, when I was online we were about to bridge a second group onto their caps, to avoid the situation where the caps get out while we're fighting on station. At that point itsme/shadow had already been in touch, and they were working on their own plan to drop the caps (and had been for some time, I guess). Itsme is one of those mercurial sources of intel everyone goes to on a slow day. Unfortunately itsme had more than we were aware of (not his fault I guess; he's a popular man), so most of the caps we started shooting ended up being with him :P Rather unlucky for Project Wilfire and they should try not to be put off by it; it's not often so many different groups would be hunting them, or have a Shadow Broker converging all those different designs for their demise. Shame on this occasion, could have been more mileage in it all.

You didn't have the numbers to fight Project Wildfire and friends and made what, a strategic withdrawal when you left the POCO? Whereas WiFi in a difficult situation merely "ran away"? You make it sound like the manly thing would nave been to continue to let Dreads melt our BSs before reps could land

clearly you have done little to no research on what you are talking about. my fleet never engaged...we sat cloaked and watched with popcorn in hand. we(being my corp/alliance mates that i am guessing you didn't look up in-game) never at any point engaged as we did not have the numbers as i clearly stated earlier. this entire situation started because 3 pilots reinforced project wildfire's poco's...we formed our fleet of 15~ or so...project wildfire brought 50~ dudes...we lol'd and were content watching them rep all day just so we can rf it all again. BUT, then the crazyness started with R&K and so we have the BR we have.

Looks like today was an interesting day in lowsec/wh space, can we get some BRs from the relevant people? (wasnt actually here for our fight)

We rf'd a battletech pos last night hoping for a fight when they came to defend it, got one: http://shadowcartel.com/kb/?a=kill_related&kll_id=7080
Seems they have friends in R.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N who came to defend.

A bit later (17:30?) Galfed drop on Revolution in hysera and die, then RNK (17:45) drop on Revolution in Hysera and it doesn't seem to go overly well either: http://rooksandkings.com/killboard/?...d&kll_id=35174
Then (19:30) snuff and galfed come in and kill some revolution guys in hysera including a battletech carrier before dying http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=12428561
Then rnk come back in with pantheon and hold the field? http://rooksandkings.com/killboard/?...d&kll_id=35193
Meanwhile battletech are losing pod mods (89) and towers (3 large) in wh space to adhocracy http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=12426433 before they then get owned by rnk http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=12428389

Is this right? It seems like a pretty bad day for a lot of people, particularly the battletech guys who seem to have got screwed from 3 different directions in the space of 6 hours.

Plus 60 bil dead in Hysera and of that, only one cap is pretty handy http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=12428561

We came in together and cleared the field of the russkis, killing a carrier in the process and then sat around (i was posting ponies) waiting for fun to start all over again for about 30-45min, we then went home to sleep only to have the russkis go for the gallente fleet still on grid after we was safely away from them
Spaceboners raging, we went back in and killed some more guys only to get sniped at by angry tier3's and bs fitted for alpha, due to the numbers of russkis on grid they where more or less oneshooting us so we could not do much about that, however the russkis could not get rid of the large amount of RNK triage carriers chilling on grid

Not entirely sure who won the whole thing, really matters very little to most of us i think
We went in to get a fight and we got a fight, shit was mad cash

I'm sure someone not falling asleep/trying to multibox and fixing servers will be by posting proper summery of events later
