Serious question: is anyone here predicting anyone besides PL to take it all this year?
Tranquility (EVE) Influence Map
Life is absurd, but with a little effort we can make it completely ridiculous
I have given up betting this year. So many close matches and upsets it's been entertaining so far and I think the finals will take it to a new level.
I think PFR and Paisti will fall today as their meta is good, but a little behind the others, having said that both teams have been flying great and making excelent the target calls so anything is possible. Particuarly been impressed by PFR team captain's ability to adapt their strategy on grid to turn a match and with Paisti's ability to dual box
Next I think Afterlife will probabally fall to NCDOT but really the setups they have brought so far demonstrate they have the creativity to totally throw off the bigger teams so I wouldn't put money on them loosing.
Gotta lot of love for my friends in VOLTA and I'll be cheering for them, but exodus have, apart from their clash with afterlife looked unstoppable so I think they will take this in a tough match for both teams.
PL vs Tuskers... I think we can guarantee some entertaining matches here. Tuskers have looked solid as fuck so far and apart from getting pretty much hard countered by afterlife I can't think of a time they have put a foot wrong this AT so I would give them the edge over PL since PL have looked a little rusty in their piloting (tink getting caught and the double sleipnir boundry) having said that PL can afford to bring out game-shaping shinies with every match and they can never be underestimated.

The existence of space means the existence of pirates.
I have tuskers to win the whole thing, but also rooting for paisti, afterlife and pheobe.
I think PL has the better comps and theorycrafting and tuskers have the better execution. I expect PL to try their rock-paper-scissors approach in the Bo3 and tuskers to bring flexible setups to deal with a lot of threats and whatever shenanigans the PL theorycrafters have come up with this year (beam zealot comeback?)
I'm shocked NC. made it this far. I remember some ex PL dudes in their roster though, so perhaps I should not be surprised.
Phoebe are also kinda shocking. I haven't really watched much of the AT this year so can someone enlighten me how they made it this far?
So far today just proves again you have to have AT ships to advance...
Gorion is baddest pundit.
CCP Hat: "So Gorion, what would happen if NC brings a fiend?"
Gorion: "Oh the Fiend is serious business. It'll really mix things up."
CCP Hat: "But specifically?"
Gorion: "If I was the FC and I saw they had a Fiend, I'd be telling my guys to watch out."
and so on.
That one had me on the edge of my seat, awesome match despite (or because of) of the mistakes (seeing the hic scrambled orthrus die to instantly see hic scram on the cerb was just cruel with only 1 hic scram left))!
this is why we need better camera work. it's all very well to say 'how scrammed?! WTF?!?' but it's a finite arena and you can't tell from the camera work how PL were spread out and how that affected tusker positioning.
AT 19 and commentators still haven't learned to look first, talk concisely later. So many false calls, so much commentating which is fast and hectic and wrong.
I'd get more and better information on what is happening that way rather all that tongue-stumbling rambling.
Unless they still don't get the overview UI the stream viewers get?
I wish people commenting videogames would stop imitating the worst examples, over-hyped play-by-play sports commentators
That tuskers vs pl match finish was sick
