So then came Torment, picks up awards, sells like shit off a shovel presumably, "Best-selling" game of the year 2017 at one awards. Granted this came after the W3 funding drive.

Why, why are these cunts still crowdfunding for a sequel?
Because games are expensive and they didn't want to do it with a regular publisher?

Fun fact, the fig stuff with the investment angle is actually now getting people a lot of money back after Microsoft bought them.

So shove your bitching somewhere kthx, it's been absolutely done in a positive way.

I did with Pillars, imo Divinity Original Sin is a much better successor of BG formula that doesn't rely on nostalgia and quality writing to carry it.

I found Wasteland 2 allright. But maybe because it gave me fuzzy warm feelings, remembering me playing the original on my Apple IIc, one of the first CRPGs I ever played, with Wizardry I (also on an Apple) being the first one.

Loved pillars 1, pillars 2 was bit meh, got bored of OS2 at the nameless isle and can't be arsed to finish it.

I didn't play Pillars (yet, it's on my to do list), but I found Wasteland 2 really nice in terms of atmosphere and gameplay, but didn't find enough time for it. Definitely not boring though.

with wasteland 2 the first half is really really good, the second half a little mediocre. (at least before the director's cut version, haven played that version)

I do love all of the "RPG fans" trying to outdo each other how hardcore they are by hating all the RPGs that fill all the usual requirements for being a good rpg. Top tier FHC scenes.

Thought i was on RPG codex for a while with these levels of edge.

Aw crap, didn't really make it into the second half though

Perhaps I should go back to it someday, this time with the director's cut version.
