Yes. Space tall ships only btfo infantry scum.
I am super bad at RTS ironically (feels like there's too much of an emphasis on micro... in the sense that one could conceivably teach an especially dumb and panic-y ape what to do in the same situation).

So that said, is there a game in here for RTS mega-scrubs?

Yes, but you'll get REKT when you run into someone who can micro you, and you should literally NEVER play multiplayer Eldar or Imperials

Play Orks, facetank all the things, don't give two shits if win or lose so long there is dakka and explosions... Oh, and push random buttons at random times. Get all the abilities that stop people from kiting, because fuck that. Also target engines first on all the things.

Against AI: just run them up the flank with the most cover while keeping your ships close to them (use movement instead of attack orders). Set every enemy ships "to target" critical systems as engines, specifically target enemy cap ships with boarders and Ram the shit out of anything that gets close. Something that can't catch your transports is no longer a threat. Don't let your ships get dragged away by auto-attacking a target, keep with the convoy. You need to prioritise dealing with threats to the convoy as they arrive over killing enemy ships.

Against players: Try to guess where they will think your convoy will be and don't be there to gain some early breathing room. Bring lots of ships with CC effects. Pray.

Against players I used to be sneaky sneaky and buy 6 escorts to masqurade as the convoy ships

I'd park the real convoy in a cloud and then run them silent until they take the bait and go for the escorts. Then it's simply a race to the line.

Was quite funny when you managed to pull it off.

    - Everything has been renamed to pseudolatin for "copyright reasons"
    - Very imps v chaos centric; xenos got fucked
    - The plot actually advanced (that bit they show in the trailer is cadia being literally blown up by abaddon crashing a blackstone fortress into it, because he can)
    - A new eldar god!
    - Angry pan-eldar forces worshipping the new eldar god!
    - Primarchs are back
    - We heard you like ultramarines, so robot grillman has gifted the world ultra-ultramarines
    - The galaxy has split in two, with the eye of terror stretching from edge to edge
    - Fuckhuge crusades running about the place on all sides

So yeah, loads of scope to do really cool shit

only rowboat is back tho, the rest are still MIA.

nuttin wrong in rowboat being back mind you! but still, it's just the rowboat, as in the least interesting of the lot.

please have a multi-sided dynamic campaign thingy, BFG's campaign is amazing in that you can shape the outcome of the gothic war with your terribleness, but i was pure imperial navy with nothing for the other factions.
    Viking, n.:
    1. Daring Scandinavian seafarers, explorers, adventurers, entrepreneurs world-famous for their aggressive, nautical import business, highly leveraged takeovers and blue eyes.
    2. Bloodthirsty sea pirates who ravaged northern Europe beginning in the 9th century.

Hagar's note: The first definition is much preferred; the second is used only by malcontents, the envious, and disgruntled owners of waterfront property.

They brought mort back as well, with 3 more coming back for each or getting more active for the chaos ones.

he was never really gone, being a daemon prince and all.

same with Angron, he's been popping out of the EoT for some murderfuzzies every now and then, including most famously on armageddon.
