Well, yes.
The British population on the whole is Islamophobic or at least distrustful of Muslims. The same opinion doesn't exist of Jews.
It helps that it's Labour being anti-Semitic and people who don't give a flying fuck about anti-Semitism will happily attack them for it because it's Labour.
'I'm pro life. I'm a non-smoker. I'm a pro-life non-smoker. WOO, Let the party begin!'
So yesterday it seems treeza managed to prevent two separate rebellions by promising each of them mutually exclusive outcomes in the future.
How much longer can the tories kick this can down the road. What a pack of spineless cunts.

An unexpected vote by MPs at the beginning of May to impose public registers of share ownership in all the BOTs has triggered angry resistance including street protests, boycotts of the Queen’s birthday celebrations, and even demands for constitutional separation.

Ah so not that call when those aussie presenters pranked a hospital and then the nurse who took the call ended up topping herself?
oh this was best call ever... nevermind
just wondering, why do you think its okay for really rich people to put their money away so it cannot be taxed to provide services and infrastructure to residents in the country that said people reside in?
you know we have a big shortage of hospital staff, ect, right?
Until you can think of a decent replacement industry for an island with 100k people and no remaining tourism/agriculture then Finance is the best we've got.
In 30 years when Reform Jersey are in a position to make some (well thought out) changes, then sure go for it.
On top of that, I don't think you actually know what offshore finance centers actually do, we're not Panama, people are still paying tax.
tl:dr we already have a whole host of local problems (mental health care, opiates, alcoholism) I'd rather not add widespread unemployment to that list.
