    part and parcel
It has much more to do with successive conservative governenments cutting police funding than any demographic changes

But you've found a slogan you like to quote, so y'know, you do you
Are your civil service agencies required to publish their annual budgets/funding?

I'd like to take a look at their recent years budgets that shows these cuts and where/how they were made.

Eight years of continued cuts by the government in police funding is “devastating” for Tower Hamlets with its rising crime and one-in-three officers lost.
Meanwhile, national statistics show recorded crime has risen by 14 per cent in the last 12 months, the highest annual increase since 1992, while police numbers are now at the lowest level in three decades. Cuts since 2010 have reduced the Met’s spending by £600m with a further £400m in the years ahead.
Find a grown up to read it to you if you can't understand that.
So all the knife and acid attacks went up because there isnt a cop standing on every single corner? And because there arent enough "detectives" working in the offices?

Maybe if you send your army out on the streets the crime will go down just like it did in France... untill they pulled them off the street

    Yes?

Most crimes are a combination of opportunity and motive. By taking away a deterrent (in this case effective policing) you increase the opportunity. By ignoring social causes you increase the motive. We have a perfect storm of both.

Add into that a lot of prevention involves proper community policing...which can no longer be resourced.

'Diane can't add up' because this is what the right wing rags state. She gave several interviews with all the correct figures and then had a car crash interview as she made a mistake and then lost it correcting the first mistake. Equally Phillip Hammond (you know the chancellor of exchequer, the man in charge of our economy) got his HS2 figures wrong by 20bil in a radio interview but that doesn't make him incompetent and the person you should go after for police funding cuts throughout a Tory government?

Diane Abbot sometimes appears to have a tenuous grip on reality and there are plenty of things she said that should be challenged, but hammering on about a bad interview isn't one of them unless you want to do the same about every Tory car crash.

Here's a text version, you can follow the links in the text for actual data: https://fullfact.org/crime/police-fu...and-and-wales/ They seem to be citing data from NAO mostly (the national audit office), thus so it should be the most legitimate source you can find.

And a direct link illustrating the cuts from 2010/2011 to 2015/2016: https://www.nao.org.uk/wp-content/up...ces.pdf#page=8

The only way Jeremy can rectify this is by punching the leader of a left wing Jewish group in the face and personally apologising to every far right Jewish group.

I'm sure Labour Party can find a more suitable person for Shadow Home Secretary.

    Interesting fact about Diane Abbott:

Despite being a black woman from a working-class background, she got into Cambridge during the 1970s. You don't do that by being an idiot.

Who appointed the distinctly non-Jewish Paul Staines to be the arbiter of who is or isn't a worthy Jew anyway?

We sent the army out onto the streets in the 1970s and 80s. It didn't end well.

Those left wing jews aren't real jews. If they don't toe the right wing jewish party line they are anti-semitic jews. THE WORST POSSIBLE KIND.

If there's any intelligence left in this nation people will start to ridicule the current smear campaign against Corbyn. It doesn't seem likely though.

Unfortunately with the majority of the press under the payroll of those heavily connected with the current government and themselves, big business, coupled with an aging population that inherently trusts what they read in the papers ('Freddie star ate my hamster'), you could almost see a headline in the rag tops that Corbyn is a pedophilic, baby eating daemon, visibly attached at the hip to satan and some ... maybe a lot of the uneducated (and educated) muppets within our borders would belive it and would spout it 'daayn the pub' to anyone in earshot and would be quite happy to throw punches in order to defend the fallacy.
Shitting up eve for .... well, longer than most of you scumbags.

Fair point, I suppose as she doesn't fit the typical politician model everything reported on her is more noted.
