That, or we found patient zero. This poor person was apparently falsely accused! (Press release to confirm the first Dutch patient with Covid, dated February 27th 2020)
Patient zero was someone in China in Autumn/Winter 2019; the chinese government suppressed that shit hard for months before they just couldn't any longer.

    According to Merriam Webster...
especially a person documented as being the first known case of a communicable disease in a particular population or region
But I feel I have now done enough shitposting for a few months.

So is fever 38.x that doesn't drop from paracetamol common for Omicron? That part is oh so familiar to me.

Two weeks later since my cold/notcovid and my nose and sinuses are still clogged.

Oh, and dont forget to drink piss. Ask your neighbors for theirs if you ran out due to dehydrating fever. It'll have you back on your feet in no-time!

TBF there is some scientific evidence that thoughts and prayers actually work a little bit, although it's probably because someone that doesn't get those is probably so lonely that they don't want to live anyway.

Anecdotally it's somehow common for SARS-COV2, this is from my previous experience in march 2020 and since then with a lot of COVID patients I've treated.

This time around it's only today that my fever broke (fucking finally). Friday, Sat, Sun - max 39, almost never under 38 except when getting out of bed when it was 36.9 - but then would climb rapidly and sit at 38-39 despite Paracetamol/Ibuprofen. Managed to bring it somehow lower (37.9) by eating icecream in front of the open window but it's not what you'd call medical treatment and that never actually stuck lower. At the same time I did take a hot bath and it didn't climb higher than 38.5, so the mechanics of heat loss weren't damaged.

Hope it isn't Delta, I had a scare today I couldn't smell bananas but my nose was clogged so after a bit of rinsing and stuff managed to smell ok. Omicron made sense since it's so contagious and I haven't really changed any habits pertaining to the job - still masking and paranoia mode and what not.

Second test was positive today as well and the damn ambulance still hasn't come to test me (home tests are not acceptable here and I called them on Friday and they stated maximum 72h... still no joy). Guess I'm taking paid time off... F it.

Overall feeling much better today but I'm still exhausted and I've been sleeping 18h/day.

Overpowered. Who oversaw this development without raising some questions? This is just power creep.

Germany hits record infection figures day after day, hence enforcing stricter rules day by day. Testing capacity struggles to keep up with it.

In order to tackle this, the new government made a glorious decision: those that are vaccinated (i.e. did their best to keep themselves and the society as a whole safe), but show symptoms and have a positive quick test now have to pay for PCR tests to figure out if they're really infected ... after having payed 2 years for the PCR tests of the anti-vaxxer morons.

Ah but I was just looking to replicate that feeling of being a tit in a forum, it has been so long. I was hoping the "well akchually" would make that obvious, but apparently we don't share the same glaringly bright semantic intellect :fingerguns:
