One of my friends got the OG rona, he was a healthy young male, ran marathons as a hobby, took him 9 months to be able to do any running again. Didn't need hospital care at any point during it, just the recovery sucked. He isn't up to running any marathons even now about 1,5 years after.That really sucks. I wish people would take this more seriously for this reason amongst others.
Not sure if it helps, but I knew someone with long covid from the first wave (and for the sceptics: healthy, not obese, no comorbidities). She got revalidation therapy and eventually did get back to her old self. What I heard from her was: exercise, but not as you would before. I.e.: it's not about 'building up strength' and 'challenging yourself', it's about very gentle exercise. So if you can find it, perhaps therapy like that could help you too. Hope you'll feel yourself again soon.

There are some interesting long covid trials taking place in London you'll probably be eligible to sign up to if you're interested.I have quite bad symptoms 1 month after catching Omicron. I can't go for a mid length walk without paying for it with an hour or more of shaking exhaustion, weakness and nausea.And that's why we're all collectively holding our breath.. what does it mean, milder but more infectious? Also, afaik nobody knows for sure what the incidence of long covid is from Omicron. You do not need severe disease progression for long covid to become your companion.
It's been worse than the actual Omicron itself...
I know a couple of people who are on one looking at anti coagulant drug therapy which has had promising results so far. Loads of interesting implication for future treatment of chronic conditions like fibromyalgia as well.

I was in a risky contact on Tuesday and kept testing myself for 4 days all the time negative. Felt a bit off yesterday (cold like symptoms not even a fever) tested myself today since its my mom birthday and better safe than sorry. Got it for the second time. Fucking hell.

I haven't had Covid yet. Luckily all of my students that got it, got it over a long weekend or breaks. Plus they stay home on the first sign of not feeling well.

As an update I've been having fevers almost constantly since Friday, but they're lower and lower. Still feels like I got an massage from Freyja employing a couple of trees
I've also not yet had Covid officially, although I had something rather grim in April 2020 that could have been Covid, but I'll have no way of knowing.
Same here, still no Covid that I know of. Didn't even get a mild sniffle in 2021 and I don't think that is something that I can say about any other year.

Although i do feel as if something has kicked the shit out of me for the last year, all LFT's and PCR's are negative thus far.
