The boffins at Berkeley, UCSF, Stanford and other Bay Area uni research hospitals got together on Thursday and reporting, confirmed by Cali politicians who where there, was 12-18 months from now, including scaling manufacture and delivery and the time it takes to build herd immunity.

Third, it is accepted as being self-evident..

You misunderstand. Rutte has been acting like a fucking clown over this issue. This should have been done last week.

Is that assuming something is discovered tomorrow or including estimated time to discover a vaccine?

Who'd get priority; those at risk or those most likely to transmit it?

It isn't. The number of new cases is going up daily as well. There were 3,590 new cases reported today alone. There is no end in sight yet for the death toll to come back down. See https://www.worldometers.info/corona...country/italy/ for the graphs that are only going up, particularly the "daily new cases" one. Note that the graphs are one day behind, the +368 dead today and +3,590 new cases today aren't factored in yet.

Oh dear, just stop asking bait question. Just google it and read it for yourself but use serious sources not fox news.

What happened to the claims about an HIV drug being effective?
Look, the wages you withheld from the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves for slaughter.

Looks like Germany is up +1,196 new cases so far today too, ouch.
Only two new deaths though which is good - obviously terrible for those involved but given the failed containment strategy it could be much worse. (EG Italy.)

I wonder what the breakdown of infected people looks like between the two, proportionally, looks like, though I guess we might not know for months or years, if ever.

Yes, borders are closed except for French, Austrian or Swiss citizens returning as well as commuters. That's starting Monday.

As all of you can probably guess, we have strict rules on the use of the military domestically. The Bundeswehr usually only provides special hardware for specific uses, like aerial recon in missing person cases, or manpower from regular forces to stem flooding. What they don't do is call upon reservists to help in an emergency.

    Except they just did.

It was from now, with estimated research built in.

The scenario they were playing was, deployed, meaning, broadly available enough to build herd immunity. Priority and who gets it first or last isn’t a factor in that. The goal here is “to render it no more dangerous than flu”

By the way if you think your country isn't dealing well with this, there were mayoral elections today in France. And they were maintained
