Apparently it's Burn Jita this weekend. That event does not get nearly the kind of coverage that it used to.

tl;dr: it got ISD'd to death, so most people shifted to r/eve

CCP Falcon rocked up early last year to say that the moderation policy had been reformed, ISD given clearer directions etc. but it turned out that meant getting banned for disagreeing with anyone. I noped out after one ISD was so kind as to explain how enormously privileged we were as to be allowed to explain what we thought was wrong with the general moderation policies. I deal with petty little shits of that kind at work, and I'll be fucked if I do it for free in my own time. So I went to r/eve, where shitposting and bullshit are also common, but at least you can call them out as such.

I've come to realize why so many places disallow discussion of moderation. There are three paths moderating can take. First is to have absolute, set in stone, zero tolerance policies. This sucks. The second is to take things on a case by case basis, where the nuance of a situation requires a judgment call, which can be debated by people with different ways of judging, to be appropriate per the rules or not. In this style, discussion of moderations can overwhelm actual substantial discussions, and is why many places ban discussing moderation and bans and such. The final method is to simply be hands off except for egregious cases like doxing, which is generally what the mods of /r/eve do.

Sounds like the official forums are trying for method 2 and the ISD you mentioned was trying to boast about actually discussing moderations.
From what I've seen this isn't a combo that works.

For what it's worth I haven't been to the official for more than a few clicks since they changed over to the new software. I never found it a very substantial source of information on what's going on with the game, anyway.

To be fair, that is most of Reddit anyways. Thousands upon thousands of echo chambers.

r/eve is hardly an unspoiled vista of harmonious consensus. I do miss kugu from the days before the PIZZA shitlers fucked it up tho.

The remnants of the PanFam dread fleet in Provi after a battle with TAPI after killing a Rag and a few dreads and a good number of faxes.

So who actually won the engagement? Trading dreads for a Titan is usually a good trade so long as you don't lose a massive number of them.

If anything, what's above looks like a massive number of dreads o.O

Consensus is that test came off the winners. 200 T2 fit dreads is a pretty bad trade to kill one titan

I mean it wasn't just a titan; but yeah, TAPI won.

    This? https://br.inyour.space/?s=3709&b=8010480&e=90&t=uszb
No idea if the teams are correct.
But Jesus that's a lot of dead dreads with not much to show for it. Bad positioning? Too many faxes to counter? 37 titans enough to just doomsday all the things? 8 million damage taken by the Rag. How long did that take? How many dreads were lost waiting for the Rag to die?

As a part of a group that doesn't even have a super, this makes me feel small...

It's just another battleship thing. Just slightly more pixels.
J'ai violé votre vaisseau spatial. C'était amusant....!

EVE once was about internet spaceships. Then those became serious business.
Now all that is left is serious business, and spaceships are docked for two years till after the Dust of Incarna

Mostly that there were supers in the first place. The outcome can be explained by the following two links:

The subcap brawl was pretty good, though. We had a lot of fun in the logi sub trying to prioritise targets with the split damage from three fleets.

NC basicly dumpstered their entire dread cache in the south for this fight. We broke the titan before the massive amount of fax came in, couldnt break others, we traded dread for dread later but most certainly we lost. I lost my rokh and had a lot of fun but the tidi was insane. As pings went up we got in dreads 10 or 20 at a time but we were outgunned. Props to the enemy.

e:If its true what i heard we paid out 170b in srp so far (NC.)

Is SRP paid out under the assumption that the loss was covered with plat insurance?
