    TMA: T3 Destroyers

Which ones are good and which ones are bad? I've skimmed the last page of Svipul and Confessor fits and it seems like 10mn fits are preferred for those. I'd mostly be flying them in low sec with a few other guys in similar size ships if it makes a difference.

Edit: Should also ask when do the various modes get used for? When's best to swap? etc.

    Apparently:

    Svipul Confessor gud

    Caldari one meh

    Gallente one shit.

Svipul seems tops in versatility, Confessor seems like a viable solo roamer (except it scares the shit out of things).

But I haven't been subbed for ages, this is just what i read. I am sure better opinions will follow.

Hecate is impressive on paper but bad. Jackdaw is plain bad.

Confessor is (imo best but very hard to fly) second best, svipul is best by a mile, Approach f1 and win.

What are the main situations you'd change mode? or is it Prop Mode all the time (assuming that's the main mode you'd use for 10mn)?

It depends on the fit really. Starting in speed mode to kite, if you get caught switch to defensive I guess

Really depends, also depends on the fit. A arty svipul can be in prop 99% of the time, to swap to sniper if caught by small stuff for tracking or def if it was something big for tank.

Brawling svipul: Start in prop till you caught something then go def.
Brawling confessor: Start in prop, if something is caught swicth
Kiting svipul: Prop all the time
Kiting confessor 10mn: Totally depends on the situation (i.e you can brawl afs in prop at 10km, kite cruiser in prop or in def if they are slow or in sniper if slow + no dps arrives). Cant make a clear statement for the ship, dont fly it first as if you switch to the wrong mode or have the wrong ammo loaded or do the wrong thing piloting wise you are dead.
    Pulse kiting confessor: Prop/sniper

Obviously play around a lot, you can use sniper mode to catch stuff as you almost instalock stuff.

    Most importantly:

Always be in prop for traveling, if you are in prop you can instawarp and not even instalocking camps can catch you (depends a bit on the ship though, confessor is a never get caught, as is jackdaw, svipul/hecate depends a bit on the fit but ought to be fine). How to instawarp from 0m/s speed: Be in prop, click warp to selected object, wait 0.1 seconds, press def mode (just try it a few times in a empty system).
