I don't get it. Did you wake up one day and think "ferox is too cheap, needs pimping" ?

I was EFTing a neutron Tengu yesterday. =D Ended up with a nearly identical fit.
Would fly it if I had an extra billion lying around burning a hole in my pocket.
The 'Because of Falcon' fit is lacking a web as i sacrificed a mid for the sensor strength subsystem. I was given so much shit for not taking into account falcons last time. So i did 2 fits.
2nd fit has a web look closer, i love the web fit for Low-Sec. Enabled me to runaway from a Proteus.
Dropping the interdiction would be practical if there weren't so many blobs of cunt wipes roaming about looking for easy kills, not being capable of anything else.
Hi guys,
i tried to modify the endless's fit, to have little more tank and resistances. Only way was to swap dissolution sequencer to emergent locus sub, that's pretty useless for bonuses, but give an extra mid. So now i have same fit with +1 med (for tanking) -1 low (no DCU) same DPS. Only difference is resistance to ECM dropped to 20 (35 was in endless's fit) and targeting range dropped from 117km to 81km.
Question is if this "more tanked" version justify the loss of DCU, targeting range and defence against ECM..

I would say no. its designed for fighting blobs/small gangs and they will have ECM. without being able to counter web etc and take out tacklers it will end up much worse I thinkOriginally Posted by laz0rz

What Podcat says. Also the higher sensor strength will save you a few more times from raging at "dishonour drones"
And since you'd be flying the AB-gu for fun and enjoyment cutting down the time you spend looking at 20second timer bars counts a lot in my opinion![]()
God wills it!
So I've been looking at getting a 100mn AB Tengu, and I've got two questions for those who have flown them before. For reference, I'll be running it with a T3 command booster w/ a mix of skirmish and siege links, and skirmish mindlink.
1) If you had to chose, would a Nano or rigor II rig be better? The Nano adds like, 250-350m/s (depending on implants), and cuts align time by ~3.3 seconds. The Rigor II makes the furies hit cruisers and frigates a lot harder, and moar applied dps is always good.
2) For implant sets, snakes or crystals? The Tengu would essentially be the *only* active boosting shield ship I'd fly (at least for a long time), and therefore would be of limited use to me. Snakes would be much more applicable, but the tank starts to look thin then.. Of course, it would also run like a bat out of hell (esp. with the nano), and that is its own form of survivability.
Was looking at the viability of ham fits, talked to a veteran tengu pilot, who dismissed the idea offhand and wouldn't even look at my potential fitting. No explanation either other than "HMLs rox and you dun need anything else!".
So I ask you, the setups forum of FHC: can this be made to work?

I consider myself to be a sovereign space holding entity, however the simple fact is that my sphere of influence rarely if ever extends beyond the optimal+falloff*2 of my ship's turrets.
If you change the engineering sup to cap regen matrix you get 36% stable with web off, it drops one launcher and the need for an ACR but you can fit a LSE and have +1 low slot

Except that a T2 loading accel won't fit with that rig combination due to it taking 300 calibration. You could drop the hydraulic bay thrusters to another flare and fit it but you'd lose a little range.
Honestly though IMO that rig combination in T1 gives a good mix of range and damage for hams.
Notr sure I want to sacrifice a launcher for a little more buffer though. The point of the supar theoryfit was that you can get 1k dps npnp from a tengu with 5% hardwires and a T2 fit. I'm not sure I'd ever fly it over a loki(though similar ehp buffer with no LSE is silly), but the idea of doing 1k dps from a cruiser @30km is pretty attractive.

BLA stacking nerfed through three BCS? Not really worth it imo. Just go for more range.
