Taking an idea from Avallo Kantor and expanding it.

Currently we have 180 unique base suits.
    5 roles
    4 races
    3 tiers
3 variants aurum and ISK and LP
    Compounded together is 180.

The SKIN system looks to eliminate redundant assets of BPO's, but let's take it a step further. Give all suits the slot layout of their prototype, then add a power core slot similar to the SKIN slot. The power core would add the tier appropriate CPU and PG. Suits would cost the same as standard, and then power cores will cost the equivalent difference in tier costs. There will also be aurum cores and LP cores unlocked early.

    Now you have
    5 roles
    4 races
    nothing else
    Compounded is 20 unique suits

You just shaved off 160 suits from the memory cap. Even more if you do this to basic suits as well.

So the idea is to move all base dropsuit stats and ISK/AUR costs into a new "Core" module, leaving all players with just free racial Frames, drastically cutting down on the number of objects the PS3 / Battle servers have to track. This would open the door again to introducing more dropsuit and vehicle types (if they adopt the same systems). It has the attention of CCP Rattati and other devs, and aligns with the goal of tiericiding Dust while dumping the unpopular linear progression that was discussed for Project Legion.

Interesting suggestion. I wonder if the technical assumptions hold true; and if so if CCP would go for it.

edit: Rattiti's posts look positive. With all this live prototyping, Legion (if it ever comes to fruition) could be a decent game!

Well, if it does come to fruition, it won't be called Legion, since CCP cancelled the trademark.
    Contract stuff to Seraphina Amaranth.

Oh did they. Didn't see that. Best to assume gone for good then.

    Why?

Obviously the Rouge Wedding has made the Legion name rather toxic, and seeing how they're now doing quite a bit of work on DUST 514 it might very well be that they'll be using the PC assets and coding for a release on PS4 and/or PC under the DUST 514 brand.
