Lightning strike is boring better off playing without it.

    Not bad.
I meant just in how badass the character is

I love how CA is advertising for games workshop now. Sorry I'm not going to buy a 60 dollar hydra miniature when I can buy a 60 dollar game that has all of that and more and you dont have to deal with ruleslawyering neckbeards

Oh and GW killed the setting anyways so lol

Indeed, how will people make the connection between the game and the current Age of Sigmarines?

Apparently you can use the old models in age of sigmar but it's retarded since all the old factions were combined into 4 generic alignments of 'order' 'chaos' 'death' 'destruction'

    age of skubmar, not sigmar.
    Viking, n.:
    1. Daring Scandinavian seafarers, explorers, adventurers, entrepreneurs world-famous for their aggressive, nautical import business, highly leveraged takeovers and blue eyes.
    2. Bloodthirsty sea pirates who ravaged northern Europe beginning in the 9th century.

Hagar's note: The first definition is much preferred; the second is used only by malcontents, the envious, and disgruntled owners of waterfront property.

If two people play age of sigmar it's already more than fantasy battles.

To be completely fair to GW, they at least had a suitably insane "canon" send off for the Fantasy lore

Every single named character gets some kind of send-off, and the three best characters (Gotrek, Felix and Malus) got pretty baller deaths.

The shit with Malekith was unexpected and the Skaven managed to actually land the final blow for giggles.

    Still a bit mad though

The shit with Malekith was complete bollocks. Yeah it's been a cover up since the second Phoenix king...oh and then suddenly most of the High Elves end up following him. Only bit of it that was 'okay' was Tyrion pulling the Sword of Khaine as it had always whispered to him.

/rant from a person who'd been playing High elves since 3rd edition (20+ years)

At least they learnt the lessons for 40K

Finally getting grips on the skaven campaign with queek. Winning batttles against elves while outnumbered, menace from belaw taking all the casualties. Spending all my food on lvl 3 cities when captured makes for a booming infrastructure. The penalties for low food arent that bad, rebellions are a great source of food anyway. Specialists troops are amazing, as is the artillery. And the magic. Now in turn 18 preparing my anti lizzard troops.

Globadiers, rat ogres and warp lighting cannons. Supported by a stormvermin line with clanrats and slaves for fodder. Some gutter runners to taste.

Some minor Lizardmen lord popped up at my undefended skaven homelands with a army consisting of nothing but 10 various dinosaurs. Had to drown them in skavenslaves and shoot them to death with warp cannons. Much fun was had.

I think the skaven are really well implemented, to play them and also to play against them.

Yeah there are a couple unique armies with fun quirks, college of engineers with an army of hellfire cannons and 6 steam tanks, for example

Just confederated two nearby factions, including probably the other biggest DE group (not sure how big morathi is right now). Need to figure out how screwed up all this new territory is and how badly their armies are set up before I either march south or take over ulthuan. Things are going well so far though, even at turn 90-ish. I should also do step 2 of the rituals if I can be bothered.

so apparently warlock engineer buffs stack, line of warp lighting cannons + 2-3 leveled engineers = Trench run turbo laser crossfire.

My current main army has 4 clanrats and 3 stormvermin to hold the line, the rest is all artillery, support or globadiers. The melee troops hold out barely enough for the tattered remains of whatever army to see them off in a hail of globadier fire.
