But the vampire fucking aura shit that decimates my troops, how to prevent? or does raiding stance prevent attrition for those horde orc duders?

@Sp4m - When dealing with influence related attrition just go into raidin' camp OR you can use the underways. Also, Wurrzag isn't a Horde. He just starts with and specializes with savage orcs. The only Horde factions in the game (without mods) are Beastmen and Chaos.
@BOOLER - I use Aspiring champs in a lot of my balanced builds. But Archaeon the Everchosen is only allowed to use Chosen units. Plus their leadership is already so high you don't really need any buffs.
@Shiodome - Put your army into groups that make sense to you. Then you can use the 1-9 keys to cycles through them really fast. Also if you Lock the group (little lock icon) they will attempt to hold their formation when moving. This is super useful for better control of the battle. Double clicking a 1-9 group key will move the camera to that group.
EDIT: Also I did some basic testing of Flock of Doom VS Devolve. Devolve just doesn't seem to do any damage. Maybe I'm missing something.
yeah, i know the group mechanics inside out and use it for sneaky reformation plays i've not even seen any of the better streamers use. i'm just being dumb and not noticing things.
i normally have a front line group, support group (missiles or specialist melee like slayers), a group for each flanking force, a fliers group if i have them, then my lord or super important linchpin unit (like mortis engine, healing branchwraith, steamtank etc) in it's own group. none of that makes a difference i've i'm tunnel visioned on cooldown timers and pathing my flying lord into and out of melees and never look at my groups
also the best way to avoid attrition is sieges. once sieging you stop taking corruption attrition, and even if you don't want to siege a settlement you can use it to hop from settlement to settlement. especially in vampire home territories where they're close together. that's if you want to move further ofc. raiding/encamp is better if not in a rush and want to replenish.

with shit tier early game stacks i often cba replenishing and just grind my stacks into the ground then recruit fresh higher tier units as they become available. never quite decided if that was efficient or lazy.
Recruiting replacing dudes reduces fightiness, cant have that. Waaagh army will bring all the support you need, besides, only support you need is a few rock throwers for sieges, rest is a question of throwing more savage boyz at it, and hitting that Waaagh + 'ere we go!
Black Orks are ok for holding a tough line, but I find myself preferring just having more savage boyz/big unz/savage boar big unz
Morgave the Shadowomen is fucking cheesy as shit.
Regen? Check
5k HP? Check
Spawns a 1,000 cost unit 3-5 times? Check
I refuse to play against Beastmen as Chaos because they don't have enough anti-Large. Fuck you fgts I'll just spam Demis or Bloodknights.
I wouldnt feel too bad....both are in the top few % of players online and in tournaments (well, Ninja definitely is, i'm fairly sure i've seen the other guy too quite a few times), so i'd be very surprised if anybody here didnt get dicked by them more often than not matey.
I've lost to Ninjahund a few times, but never an ass beating.
The only ass beatings I keep taking are against Morghur and the Red Duke. It's all about them spamming in new units constantly. I just had a match against Mousillion. Death ball of mixed troops with a Mortis Engine and the Red Duke. Their army had 1400 to start with. My army ended up with 1900 kills....
i'm not very good at using spells/heroes in general. I do okay, but i'm very much aware that there is people who play this at several tiers above my level.
Which is completely fine ofc![]()
Its why I prefer playing orcs, if I lose because the tactical sophistication is limited to just throwing (more) dudes at a problem, at least I lose in character.
And admittedly, this has been the only game which has ever gotten me to rage on TS after losing games, courtesy to grand admiral hoggbert...
One of the nice things about this game IMO is that as long as you can keep the fundamentals nailed down, it'll rarely be a true ass beating. The game is mostly won or lost due to little things and smart choices.
At least to me, thats better than games where its common to get absolutely rapetrained and kill like....1 dude.
literally the exact way undead should be. also i kind of feel beastmen needed morgur to balance out their shit tier infantry that might as well not turn up if there's a single terror causing unit in the opponents army. it gives them some kind of back bone, and the spawn really don't last long.
I wouldn't mind it if Vortex spells worked better. You should be able to punish a deathball with AoE magic. But AoE magic is shit tier.
I won the match, but god damn the amount of raise deads was awful.
EDIT: I should be Jones Bones on Steam. What's the FHC TS info?
