Trouble finding good T1 or Navy Cruisers Fits for PVP

    Hi guys

I am looking for good solo or small gang (Mostly Solo)T1 Cruiser or Navy Fits. I really like the following Thread: http://failheap-challenge.com/showth...owsec-solo-PvP with the Post from "Chessur" but trouble finding such fits.

I came back to Eve after a 2 Year Brake last November and got a 120M SP Character and I have not a lot of solo PVP Experience, so I want to change that in like T1 or Navy Cruisers. Since finding up to date fits on the internet is not easy I put some fits for a Thorax, Vexor, VNI, Stabber Fleet Issue, Harbinger, Caracal together. Most of the Fits I found on o.smium.org.

Now I know that the Vexor or VNI or even the Ishtar is awesome and stuff..but since almost everyone is using it..it just bores me.

My goal is to learn through mistakes on solo pvp roams or even small gang roams. I found through different threads and posts that an Omen or Omen Navy issue are really good ships to fly but I can't find any good or up to date fits for those.

I wanna engage frigs, destroyers or even cruisers. I flew last night a dual web blaster Thorax but it came to no engagement. I heard that a Rail Thorax is a better choice then a blaster version?

Putting together fits on my own is very frustrating as I am still trying to understand what I can or can't fit and what is good or not.

I hope you guys can help me out a bit for finding some solo pvp fits for my desired ship class, so no limitations as I can fly pretty much anything.

    Regards
    Prescott

Just to be sure... have you checked ship setup hangar? Just find your ship from this post and go to the last page. For example, a good fit for nomen.

If you want to engage a gang of frigs/destroyers Chessur's Stabber is a good starting point.

if i may suggest (i'm a relatively bad pvper, was much better before the break (never really good), but here's how i see things, trying to try and get better at the game):

    Start with frigates.
get the feeling. really, start with frigates. They are cheap (i guess that's not an issue for you, it is for me), afffective, and offer almost all possible types of pvp fights. You can kite, you can brawl, you can do everything that ALL other classes can. But you need to know frigates.

See what you like. tanking. nano. then upgrade to cruisers.

Why i emphasise starting with frigs: know your enemy. In every fight, frigs are usually there. You need to know how to handle them before you can start handling bigger things. You MUST know what does it mean for you if rifter lands, in contrast to, say, crucifier.
Also, in todays meta, you'll be fighting frigs 80% of the time, anyway.

    hope i helped

edit: also, if you ever want someone to raom with, shoot me an evemail, i'm rarely online, but when i am, i wanna pvp and rarely have people to pvp with.

Yes I did check the Setup Hangar afterwards but I saw few posts that some people did not agree with some fits and that it would not be really suited for solo pvp, etc.

I think I will be putting together a stabber, omen navy issue & scythe fleet issue. My toon has a lot of amarr skills but since my corp is not so much into amarr it is hard for me to find some good fits for solo pvp roam that actually work well.

    Thanks for your Feedback

    Hey mate

I do have already some experience with Frigates & Interceptors but I want to command a bit bigger ships. I don't mind loosing cruisers at all at the moment. I do have a Hawk or Harpie as well for PVP or a Crow & Rail Raptor.

I am in a PVP Corp so roaming around with you could be a bit difficult

With the T3D cancer currently being the defacto thing, I'd avoid the stabber like the plague.
Sure you're quick, but you have next to no hp or tackle. You will get obliterated by kiting ships.

I find the blaster Thorax to be very reliable.
    800mm+MAAR rep & small injector (400s).

A dual web Rupture is quite practical nowadays as well when it comes to shaking off tumours.

If you have the skills, an agility-fit single rep Brutix performs excellent as well as being able to field an MJD to evade LR tackle.

    Hey Prometheus

Thanks for your Advice. I do have a Blaster Thorax Setup but for Close range. I do have skills to fly a Brutix. I really have a weakness to fly a Talos for example with a dual web Setup for frigs.

I don't like to jump on the T3D Bandwagon and wanna Counter with something People would not be expecting. I think the possibility of variety in this game is kinda limited right now. You need to fly certain ships to win. As good as every new ships which CCP Releases is OP and everyone is flying it.

I would rather love to fly a Talos, Naga, Megathron, Vigilant, Prophecy or something to have fun with.
Need to check on the Rupture however.

    Avoid the Talos.
Even with Dual webs, its tracking isn't enough for frigates and the tank leaves much to be desired.
You're better off in a Brutix.

At least with a Megathron, you can drop a high for a neut and still do 1k dps

What Kind of Ships are your Targets with this fit ? I never flew a Brutix before.
What do you bout the Megathron Fit I posted? Is it ok or would you recommend a different one?

I never really encountered a solo roaming brutix before, seem kinda rare..but lots of confessors, svipuls, intis, etc.

    Cheers for your Fit btw
