I thought the point of adding soft lock was to prevent having to dick around with the cfg files like you just described? So that you just set your wheel to max rotation and let the game decide where the locks are.

Also in the last stream Stefano revealed that the reason there is such horrible vibration with some wheels (and still some general shonkyness to the FFB) is because they fucked up the implementation of wheel/tyre offset. If I understand correctly, and I probably don't, they had forces being transferred from the virtual centre point of the tyres rather than where the hub meets the wheel??? Anyway it's getting fixed for 1.3

I'll copypasta the information when I'm back at the pc, forgot that ac devs are retarded and made the forums not viewable without account.

Tbh I always felt that acs force feedback is shit. Doesn't even remotely stand up to lfs in terms of simulating grip.
    Even after all the fiddling.

In lfs feeling when you're on the edge of grip in an rwd car and saving was much more intuitive.

Fooking yes! 1st proper sim to have the holy trinity of hyper cars.

edit: also the potential to have all 3 current LMP1 factory machines if they licence them from Audi and Toyota.

    POOOOOOOOOOOOOORSCHE IS OUT

    THE CARS

    Porsche 911 Carrera S
    Porsche 918 Spyder
    Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0
    Porsche 718 Cayman S
    Porsche 917/30 Spyder
    Porsche 935/78 'Moby Dick'
    Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport

The 917/30 was the most powerful sports car racer ever built and raced. The 5.374-litre 12 cylinder (90.0 x 70.4 mm) twin-turbocharged engine could produce 1,580 bhp (1,180 kW) in qualifying tune[citation needed] with twin turbochargers run up to full boost, 39 psi (2.7 bar), though it usually raced with around 1,100 bhp (820 kW) at 7,800 rpm to preserve the engine. Weighing 1,800 lb (820 kg), giving it a power to weight of 1967.36 bhp/tonne in qualifying tune[citation needed] and 1369.68 bhp/tonne in race tune. The 917/30 dominated the Can-Am series during the 1973 season. The 917 was also the only championship winning car in Can Am not to be powered by Chevrolet

Just got finished trying them out. Confirming the 917/30 is hilarious. Will race them tomorrow when I have time.

Fug I forgot about the new update. Haven't even tried out the 787 yet. Tyre model V10 with new enhancements is nice. I am still rather shit though.

The McLaren P1, the Ferrari LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 Spyder.

Edit: If you are referring to the LMP1 (Le Mans Prototype Class 1) I believe he is talking about the Audi R18 E-tron, the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo and the Toyota TS050.

250 GTO is coming in next DLC. Porsche seems to prefer their latest road cars in games, older stuff tends to be classic racers.
