The only guy who I would get to play this sort of thing with is one of those absurd iRacing autists, I might get it one day but I would have so little use for it right now I think.
I'm weird and I like to race road cars in this sort of game, I don't really care very much about pure racing cars.
Poland treats me like shit and I hate them as a result of it

Whats great about AC is the whole "it is proper driving physics and a whole load of fun driving" package. Just like real driving, it is alot of fun, unlike some of those games that equal "REALISTIC=ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE".
Any race car or race bike I have ever driven had one thing in common: the attempt to make the setup and driveability as transparent and usable for the driver as possible. Sure not all are like a driving education vehicle, but overall one a racing car is not driveable, its useless.
Racing games often imply the opposite, the faster the car the more impossible it is to drive, as if the whole world consisted of 500cc 2-stroke superbikes. So this is a big fun factor right there in AC.

Any idea how it compares to LFS tire physics / Force Feedback feel ?

I don't have any of the gear for driving simming. It would probably be pretty hard for me with pleb gear.
That's what my iRacing autist mate has passively impressed upon me anyway.

Also very few of those cars interest me.

Yes, clutch is useless in most cases.
Much like the H-shift stick on g-25
Flappy pedal gearbox is way more practical for lap times

In which game, especially multiplayer , is using stick + clutch better than Flappy pedal?
I've never tried iracing because lol subscription based.
Anyways, the next best thing witch clutch is the g27 for twice the money.

Everything I heard about Project Cars was that its lol arcade.
I agree, you need clutch for old cars like the 70ies F1 cars in AC aswell. Stick shift is just awful in games, even when you manually shift gears, paddle is so superior.
Anyone who says it's arcade is doing something stupid like playing with a gamepad and driving aids on. It has this weird gamepad "assist" feature that basically smooths out inputs provided by gamepad to make it workable.
It's not as sim as LFS/iRacing, but it's definitely sim. If someone tells you it's arcade get them to try wrestling the Escort RS turbo around Bathurst with assists off.
