And how has any this changed the underlying picture?

Russia is still globally isolated politically and financially. It's economy is slowly crumbling. And whether you like it or not: money is power, and Russia ain't got any (and won't be getting some any time soon either).

Most of those links simply refer to other countries taking advantage of the situation; with Putin putting ever more desperate stuff on, hoping to disguise the fact. That you're taking in by that says more about you, tbh.

What's next? Announcing a nuclear missiles that flies forever!

    Ohh, wait ...

We don't need another Russia 1990's , unstable and unpredictable. this is why we don't push for Iran economic embargo kind of measures.

Putin cannot ever leave office. If he does he and his family are dead.

You're implying that it's his office which renders unto him his power

(it is not, Russia has long ago stopped caring about "official" titles)

Russia's famous "troll factory" is set on fire. Ironically, by Molotov's cocktail.

The Fontanka.ru news website cited police as saying that an unknown suspect broke the agency’s ground-floor window and threw a Molotov cocktail inside at around 3 a.m. on Tuesday.
    https://themoscowtimes.com/news/infa...-on-fire-63130

The fire appears to be responsible for massive drop in internet troll traffic.

I'm not sure it's that ironic that a symbol of protest was used to disrupt a misinformation campaign that furthers a oligarchic government's foreign policy.

Since when Molotov Cocktail is a "symbol of protest"?!? Do you even know the origin of the term?
