TL;DR Russians & Ukranians team-killing one another based on flag decal displayed on tank, developers see dollar signs and put flag decals behind a $3 pay wall.

Pilots and Tankers,

We know many of you love your flags as decals, but right now unfortunately, we are seeing too many players using them in ways that instigate national argument and obviously some players are not happy with the flags being used outside the game's historical period or that many didn’t even exist there. But since we do not want to remove these opportunities from players who do want them, we decided to implement a procedure that will require more responsibility from a player who wants to make use of them.

From today, the 10th February, all National Flags listed in the flags directory of your decals will be re-set and removed from your inventory in game, they will be available from now on in a similar way as the rest of the decals via purchasing using GE.

We hope you support this decision and thank you very much for understanding!

Pretty much. Anything in tier 1 that is not a t34 offshoot will work. Especially t-26 or t-35. Really, all they need is a paintjob. And a kv-2. It may not have the most dakka but it sure makes good boom.

I am hearing that they have removed some ~ mates were complaining today that all their tanks had lost their Big Fucking Australian flags. I think mine still have mine? I dunno I only played Tanks today and had fairly new tanks from after they priced the decals, but my planes still had horrendously stretched union jacks splashed over'em.
